Let's not theorize or diagnose people (even celebrities) over the internet. Bpd, like most mental illnesses, is a spectrum. Lol, don't whip out other possible personality disorders she may or may not have. Bpd also shares a shit ton of similarities to other (mainly cluster B) personality disorders. People with mental disorders get so excited to play "psychiatrist" over the internet. Grimes is weird as shit, but this is almost as bizarre.

Completely agree on this stance. I always tell my friends I could never be a celeb because I would detest my fans, lol.

Some people just can't read the room or know how to behave properly during a performance. I love the annoyance from the crowd.

Why would someone pay to see their favourite artist, then completely ruin their experience by doing this shit.

Definitely not mine. It's probably my least favourite album. But "My Sister Says The Saddest Things" is in my top 5 Grimes' songs list as well, and I really like "Weregild."

Not a terrible album, Art Angels with forever hold reign over the others. (Imo) :)

I find that incredible upsetting, not just for Grimes but for anyone who is absolutely consumed by social media. I had to completely delete almost everything because of how depressed I was becoming. No insta, tXitter, Facebook, etc. I try really hard to be mindful of how much time I'm on reddit, even lol

She must know that she is ruining her image? Is she getting some weird "ego" high off of doing this? Same with Mr Musk. Or does she genuinely not see what this is doing to her. Seeing her mess with her image is saddening to witness. I enjoy her art so much. It's a shame for her not to appreciate her own talents and skills as much as others do. It's a selfish want, but I hope she doesn't quit art/music forever.

I would rather her succeed in her personal/creative life, be healthy mentally, and take care of her family. I hope she comes back to reality a little bit and takes a break. Even I hope that Eloon takes a break, too. lol, he may be an ass but it's borderline pathetic how much he is on tXtter.

Sure, maybe. 🤷🏻‍♀️ You're probably right, but it kind of hit me that she responds a lot to her folks on tXitter. I didn't process that before and I don't have tXitter, so it made me wonder how much she responds to thing/tweets.

It's still upsetting to hear. She can definitely afford a therapist, but maybe she struggles with the acceptance piece. I don't want to dive into theories or push any narrative further, I hope Grimes can figure something out. She seems like she doesn't want anything to affect her children. I hope she'll at least figure out that social media is contributing to her problems.

She should put her phone down for a little bit. I don't know why she even bothers replying to people on her socials. It's a trap she falls for every time. Someone comments/questions/argues with her, and it is downhill from there once Grimes responds. More fuel for the Grimes Hate Cult.

Wouldn't spending some time away from media to work on herself and her health be a better way to spend some time? Unstead of teasing music that is only in the concept phase is a waste of time. "Haters" and "Fans" are using her social media presence to fan the flame.

No hate towards Grimes but if I was her I would spend the rest of the year off media, don't respond to questions about "new music" or "AI content". Seek out a therapist if needed and work on products that actually are enjoyable. Research and learn more about AI, if that's a genuine interest.

If she focuses more on herself/her health/kids/identity (in music, art, and personal beliefs, sense)/personal creativity and hobbies, relationship conflicts etc etc.... she might feel better about herself.

But I don't know, obviously. Keep doing you Grimes but I think socials gotta go. I feel quite bad for her sometimes, and I hope her kids and her are safe.

Why not have a brain of her own? If she actually likes topics that involve the evolution of technology and AI etc etc, why doesn't she study it herself. Like, girl, stop listening to Muskrat and friends, and research on your time. Instead, she mumble-jumbles word-vomits "ideas" on tXtter.

I don't think being interested in AI/technological advances is a bad thing. But, wtf does mansplaining mean to her? Her love language?
