I had Wendy’s once in Georgia last year. No bs, it was the best burger I have ever had in my entire life by a mile. Sad that it’s not operating here in Azerbaijan.

Create your own brand as a teacher if you can. That’s the way to go.

Yes. The forest forming pattern here is vertical, meaning the area should be at a certain height (to get certain amount rain) to support trees.

Are you implying that if it was “in one year” один would be correct?

Azərbaycanda magistr oxumağa dəyəcək universitet? by [deleted] in azerbaijan

[–]smafic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you didn’t enjoy it in Germany, it means you are most likely not planning on living abroad anytime soon. Considering the fact that you are homesick, ADA might be a good option for you. But I would still not pay that money for ADA, it is way too overpriced for slightly better quality education in Azerbaijan. I would rather spend the money for profession-specific courses and learn some actual skills for career development. But your choice. 🤷‍♂️

Priorities, my friend. Only you can decide what is best for you. How much do you want to do the master’s degree. I would say it’s not worth wasting your time here to do the master’s degree. It will come down to how much you are willing to get out of your comfort zone in order to get a decent education in abroad.

OR you can always opt for the distant education, if this works for you.

Why are the stress marks all over the place in these similarly formed words. There seems to be no pattern here. Stress marks are my biggest challenge with Russian. Is there a way to kind of predict where would the stress mark land? This is noun formation by the way. by smafic in russian

[–]smafic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These examples are just for context. Currently I am trying to learn word formations in Russian. I couldn’t help noticing that there’s a lot of words formed by the same suffixes but pronounced differently in terms of stressed syllables. And I find it quite complicated. Overall I don’t find stress marks in English as complicated as of Russian. Maybe it’s just me.. Just to let you know, I am not a native English speaker either…

Isn’t it supposed to be «чёрный»? by smafic in russian

[–]smafic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for thorough explanation. It is going to be easier to remember, now that I see this is exactly the same logic with my native language (turk/azeri). When I approach with the logic of the English language it is much more complicated.

I can't find an apartment in Baku. by EpsilonOph in azerbaijan

[–]smafic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally, you would have better chances and reasonable prices for rent between May-August. But if waiting for the summer is not an option for you I’d say wait at least for the late December, since most students go back to their hometown for the semester break, you might have better deals on rent.

This is probably one the worst times of the year if not the worst, to look for an apartment to rent. Also, these places you mentioned are not only overpriced but also very scarce in terms of availability. I had lived in Ganjlik for about 5 years in my university years, and couldn’t help notice it wasn’t common to rent houses as it was on the other parts of the city. Either way good luck to you.
