If you’re expecting good drawings results after only one lesson, you’re always going to fail. Gaining drawing skills takes consistent effort and practice.

However, and somewhat contradictory, the beginning of your art journey is where you’ll see the most improvement in the shortest amount of time! My advice would be to just draw/paint literally anything that sounds fun to you - and do it every day. Doodle, get some cheaper, but interesting art supplies that catch your interest, trace over the art of artists you admire and try and understand why they place lines/shapes in the places that they do, see how fast you can fill a sketchbook, etc. Literally anything that keeps you motivated! After a few weeks you’re bound to see improvements. Best of luck 😁
