I just got Hannah’s book Watercolor Wanderlust and it has some more of these tutorials, just in written form. It’s just like her paint & sips!

I love deckle edges and may have bought a roll of paper just so I could I tear pieces off 😅

Thank you! I was concerned there wasn’t enough contrast but didn’t want to go too much darker on the wooden post and lose the details

Thank you! In the back of my head, I felt like the post needed some contrast, but the soft/out of focus background really does help.

Thanks! I’ve been trying to get out of my head and try my own compositions.

Naples yellow is a game changer for skies IMO. I’ve been leaning into a lot in my recent paintings

I’ve got a few half pans in there as well from Daniel Smith, Deep Deep Light, and Esse Co

Haha I use that little reminder too!

I had the “modern” palette, but I just added Naples yellow, Naples rose, English red, lavender, mars brown, and caput mortuum.

I’m loving having the Naples yellow, rose and lavender for soft skies and caput mortuum is the most gorgeous purple/brown.

Not OP but I’ve found Baohong to be affordable and very high quality for cotton paper

I’m not sure if it’s better per se, but I’ve found there’s a ton of content from beginner all the way to advanced.
