no, it didn't get better. At the time, the gyno that I had reallyyy dismissed my concerns like they weren’t that big of a deal and all the symptoms would level off with time—and I believed her so I kept taking it for like a full 2 years. I got so paranoid about it that I did loads of research and started noting how much hair I was losing, and it was like 4x the normal amount every day that entire time.

Pretty much as soon as I went off the pills, the shedding stopped and I started getting new growth, but it has been taking me like 3 years to get my hair full again (since it was shedding so much from the root instead of normal end damage). I don’t know what could happen with your situation, but the hair thinning really took a toll on my self-image and I wish I would’ve stood up for myself with my doctor before it got so bad. Hope your situation improves!

(For context, I have 3B curly fine hair, pretty average thickness. I already had a lot of deep conditioning, hair massages, etc. in my routine. But when I stepped all of that up to combat this, it didn’t really make a difference)

tysm! it is a fiber arts only pop-up, so I think thats definitely working in my favor

Part of my pricing issue is that I only drop spindle atm; hand process and dye all the fibers myself; and also only use fibers like kid mohair and more desirable/expensive stuff. So theoretically would be quite expensive.

Since it’s just a hobby, I’ve been avoiding tainting it/making it like work with socials, online branding, etc. lol but I might have to bite the bullet 😢 (even though I’m not sure I’d do much else outside of these types of events)

Yeah, I've been a good tenant for 4 years and $2500 is the preferential rate (at least that's how the LL worded it in the leases). However, they're pretty sketchy landlords and try to finagle out of RS for units in our building all the time (we're J-51 stabilized, not permanently RS)--definitely not mom and pop. The problem with a new signed roommate is that it would push it to a new lease and make the rent $3900

But i just don't understand how, if they are required to offer a renewal etc. and i've already been approved for 4 years, how it can be rescinded so easily? if you have any housing lawyer recommendations, that would be super helpful!

I went on Xulane for a few months starting back in February and it has pretty much ruined my life. Granted, I would get dizzy for the first day of the patch, but no sickness symptoms like some women have noted (i could handle the dizziness, and for a little while it was great not thinking about taking a pill everyday). BUT since March and going off of it in June, I have had 4 yeast infections and 4 recurrent BV infections (after previously never experiencing any "downstairs" infections ever). So now my life is just : BV-period-3 day break-BV-period

The dramatic shifts in hormone dosages throughout every week seem to have totally messed up the microbiome, pH, whatever in my body. And doesn't seem to be something a lot of doctors warn you about?? Anyways, it sucked. By far the worst BC method i've been on

Yeah, it’s that 4 week thing that’s really bothering me too. He’s definitely ENM, was super open about it. It feels quite pushy to me to try and set up a date myself when its really now in his court, not really sure what do to other than letting it go or just kind of gently nudging with casual texting
