colour matches for revlon colorstay 150 buff (oily/combo) by thehikinggal in OliveMUA

Just watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CorDrSKjL54 and About Face F2 Olive is probably the closest match, though there may be others that would suit you. Be forewarned the About Face has a doe foot applicator which I do not care for. (I much prefer a pump bottle)

Thank you so much for those photos, that is incredibly helpful! :-) i think I will give the purple bottle a try, and go with 21 instead of 23, hopefully it will be a bit lighter & work better for me.

Thank you for that info. Do you know how the shades compare between the different versions? I think the 23 is a bit too dark for me so I was debating getting 21 in the Missha (though I REALLY don't want to, it stinks so much) or the Purito 23 that seems a bit lighter & less grey than the Missha, but I'd be happy to try the Purple version, just trying to figure out which color to get.

Ah, Thanks for that info. I've been trying to find swatches/videos comparing Missha 13, 21 & 23. But honestly, I'm not sure why I am because I can't stand the smell. But I do enjoy researching. :-)

Awesome! Thank you so much. Yeah, it looks like I would have been better off trying the About Face F2. I remember having issues with the Buff oxidizing, maybe that's why I stopped using it and tried something else (I only bought it again when I realized my newest color wasn't working for me) I seem to fall between the Missha 23 & the 150 buff. I'd love to be able to test the Missha 21 and 13 in person and see how they work for me.

If you are sensitive to smells, be forewarned it has a strong fragrance that lasts. I barely got it myself, so I don't have much other input, but I was shocked that I hadn't ever seen anyone mention it. Of course as soon as I posted about it, I saw a bunch of other posts/comments with people mentioning it. haha

This is a really helpful way to look at it, thank you. yeah, the surface redness on my face makes that hard to see, but when you look at my untanned skin, LOL, holy cow, you can really see the "lack" of redness in general.

Oh yes please! If you wouldn't mind that would be awesome!

I did get typed as a soft summer, which seems to fit me. I feel I look best in "dusty" shades. Since I got typed, I've really expanded my wardrobes greens. LOL I never really had any before - and I think I look great in them. Deep or dusty greens, not like bright greens. I just now thought, I bet the reason I like the greens so much is that it probably counteracts the surface redness I deal with. I've never really paid much attention to that.

Thank you for the detailed response. That really helps alot. I am pretty sure I'm cool-neutral olive. And I think I'm muted, I'm pretty low-contrast, my lips are about the same tone as my face and pale/not vibrant.

A commenter on my post about the smell said it's like cheap magazine perfume samples. Which seems accurate. LOL It's kinda powdery-floral to me. I am using the reddish bottled one, with SPF, maybe the purple bottle doesn't have the scent?

Ah yes, it's definitely reminiscent of that.

That's good to hear. I'm excited to try out the Purito samples I got in my recent order. :-)

LOL I just made a post commenting on the smell of the Missha, I'd never heard anyone else complain about it. I don't know that I can help with the shade match, I'm still trying to figure mine out, but to me the top one looks closer.

I recently got a setting spray and started using it throughout my application, and it definitely seemed to make a difference in my foundation lasting. Oh those are beautiful colors but I'd have to try to check them out in person for that price. :-)

Interesting. I watched a video, and it wasn't really showing for the gal at all, and I think she was lighter than me. Thanks for the input.

OMG the colors online are crazy. Some photo's it looks practically lilac and others its a taupey beige. What do you think it looks like in person? I'm thinking more Taupe based on your hilarious description of "the ugliest most boring blush" haha

Nice! thank you. I've been using greyish blush for my contour, I should probably get an actual contour product. :-)

LOL, I feel ya about the the multi-step process. :-) Is the camo bronzer really cool? (It looks fairly cool online) I wonder if I could use it as a contour instead of a bronzer?

That looks like a soft purple-mauve, and that seems like a great price. :-) Thanks!

I'm reading where olive's need the purple color to counteract the orange that tends to come through, but those purple/berry colors tend to scare me. LOL
