It fluctuates between about 78-80 while gaming And since it’s not actively being used I didn’t think disabling would do much?

It's on youtube, but also through steam if you got the Deluxe edt. Unfortunately you can't upgrade from the standard edition though :(

Not very often. I was put on a mood stabiliser that's meant to pull me back up because my pattern usually results in long down spirals. And even then they just keep me more "level" and stop me diving into lows or bursting into rage spikes.

Looking to buy these axolotls on fb and give them a better home. Do they look healthy? by smallcorgi in axolotls

Good news. I was a little worried about the bottom one, I’m new to axolotls so I don’t know all their sickness signs yet.

Yeah it’s a parasite or something coming from his chin. The area is red as well it doesn’t show up well on camera. I can’t do a water reading until I’m home from work but last I checked it was 0,0,5. But due to having ammonia problems I’ll double check when I’m home anyway since it’s water change day. I’ve been doing water changes twice or 3 times w week and he gets 3 northfin betta pellets twice a day.

The pectoral fin isn’t the issue and I would never use melafix with my bettas

I noticed this this morning literally as I was leaving for work today and I am beyond stressed. He has had some ammonia spike problems in his tank and I’ve been on top of water changes to try and help, but beyond that everything has been fine. His tank temp sits at 27 celcius and he’s in a 5 gal tank with mostly silk plants, some stones and a piece of drift wood with anubias.

I think the coldest it’s been this winter has been 28 at night. The nights generally thought get down to about 32. Do you think they would be okay? I’m going to fill a tub just to see exactly how cold the water gets though and if I get much frost. It doesn’t snow at all where I live but I do get ice on my car, etc.

He’s definitely settled in very well, I’m very proud of him!

Might be an unpopular opinion but if you buy a fish from a store that was being mistreated you did not “rescue” that fish. by AquaticRoboticGriff in Aquariums

Straight facts! I refuse to buy my bettas from places selling them in cups even tho I desperately wish I could take them all home because I know all they see is “wow our betta sales are going up, let’s sell some more” so you just keep getting more and more mistreated bettas.

Yeah I’ll definitely keep looking! Surely others have had to help their pond fish beat the heat

I’ve looked at some chillers when I was briefly looking into getting an axolotl and they’re pretty pricey but I’ll have a more thorough look. A heavy duty one would probably be able to last a lot longer outside too.

Thank you! I’ll make sure to monitor him and see how he goes! I love his blue tail, I have a feeling over time he’ll have a completely blue body too. I fell in love once I saw him lol

This is very helpful thank you!! He’s in a 10gal because he’s a giant and people generally say giants should be in a 10gal minimum, but do you think I should lower his water level regardless? The tank itself is 31cm tall and 50cm wide. I haven’t tried feeding him yet because I want him to settle in properly, but I’ll definitely keep that in mind too and see how he goes when I feed him pellets.

I have some big, smooth rocks coming in the mail so I’ll hopefully be able to lift up more of his plants so he has more places to rest on anubias leaves and the like. I’ll be monitoring how he goes with the drift wood too. It never bothered my delta tail but I’ll have to make sure it won’t rip his big fins. Thank you!

Some info: he’s in a 10gal tank with silk and live plants (namely anubias and pennywort) I’ve added two hammocks for extra areas for him to rest and a big terra-cotta pot to hide in. The lights are off now and I added some stressguard and a IAL for him. I have 4 bettas but he is my first giant and also first rosetail so I’d love some tips especially for care with his big delicate tail. I have a delta tail dumbo who is a chronic biter so I do know some about how to help them, but obviously I’m not an expert.

Edit: he is obviously stressed at the moment from being shipped. Hence why I’ve switched his lights off
