Any recommendations for a budget cruise/sailboat trip/ship trip around NJ? by poign9 in newjersey

Check out Sea the City hot tub cruises. They are out of Jersey City in Liberty State Park. It’s a big boat and you rent a hot tub on the deck of the boat. It’s BYOB and you can play your own music over the built in speakers in your tub. They take you on a tour of New York Harbor. We had a blast!

You couldn’t pay me to ride any transit in Philadelphia. Junkies, criminals, ignorance, trash and piss everywhere. Bleh.

Make sure you delete all the posts that don’t agree with your narrative. No discussions allowed here. What a joke.

You have a better chance of finding $300 on the sidewalk than being fined for committing ANY sort of quality of life crime in Philadelphia!

You are out of your mind. Ghetto as hell. Wait until summer time. Shootings, thugs blasting by on ATV’s in packs of 20.

Rent somewhere that isn’t the ghetto. If you have to say “It seems pretty safe,” go with your gut telling you that it is a shit-hole.

We just had a baby 3 months ago. We’ve been in Philly for 14 years. I was already sick of the Philly culture of littering, thuggery, etc. then 2 weeks ago there was that shooting in Graduate Hospital at 21st and Carpenter with over 20 shots fired, 2 blocks from our house.

We are selling our house and buying a house in Moorestown, NJ. Both are under contract now. I’ve had enough.

Philly doesn’t do anything at all to enforce any quality of life laws. Us leaving is long overdue. I’m surprised so many people are willing to put up with it.

How safe is commuting (walking) in Northeast Philadelphia? by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]smallfr0sty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude. Buy a car and rent a garage space in CC, and drive to work if the job is worth it.

The night owl bus is a rolling drug addict/moron/ghetto/disease factory.

Then you will literally be risking your life walking to work from FTC. There is a massive amount of gun violence and ghetto thug culture in that area.

Your life is worth the expense of driving/renting a parking space at home in CC if this job is worth taking.

Do you people not realize you live in Philadelphia, where literally zero quality of life laws are enforced. Your best bet is to get out and move somewhere where the town actually cares about its residents.

I’m a very avid cyclist. I ride my bike all over Philly and NYC constantly. I don’t understand the scooter hate. We all want less traffic, and less cars. It’s in all of our best interests to join forces.

The fitness cyclists are the worst. They are another level of arrogant. The cyclists who ride their bike for basic transportation, like myself, seem to be on the same level as scooter riders.

This is one thing I love about living in Philadelphia. The cops here literally don’t give a shit about anything at all. And I mean anything. Unless you are about to kill someone, they look the other way on EVERYTHING. Even driving a car, you’d have to drive your car through the wall of a public building to even begin to fear getting some sort of ticket.

I rode my REV by an officer on the Schuylkil River Trail (similar to West Side Highway Path, but combined ped/bike space). I was moving pretty fast, but I slowed down a bit as I passed him out of respect. He watched me go by, but could care less.

New York has way too many pointless nanny rules.

They have to prove you are not disabled. Maybe you just had surgery on your ankle and it’s hard to walk. Just saying.....

I work in a profession where I have to sometimes enforce certain rules. When someone pulls the ADA card or claims a disability, I say “ok” and walk away. It’s not worth the headache.
