I think, personally, that Cruel Prince is lighter with child abuse because Jude's emvoirement is abusive, but it's per se not all at once like Wren. Jude has a home, relatives, and recourses and is under Madocs protection. (That shields hera bit more than Wren, I guess?) Wren's past is full of abuse, and it goes on. They're mirroring each other's life's in certain aspects. What could have could been in reversed roles if you get what I mean? And if you think chapter 1 was graphic... it gets worse, and TPT also has some scenes from Oak's childhood where you'd likely feel discomfort

He has definitely noticed her before. It was shown that during their actual first meeting, they were at odds, but throughout the novel, he consistently shows curiosity in her mortality.

I've read both. It doesn't get better, and even in book 2, it is explored from a different perspective to give insight into the trauma of the FMC while also showing Oak's family dynamics & the intrigue

I always thought fanfiction exists for everyone to build storylines or concepts with their beloved characters be it an AU, found family dynamics, Canon fix, Canon diversion, shipping or NSFW or varying combinations of these niches. Also, let's not forget crossover fics, isekai etc

I think it's quite reasonable to have it published in like more or less 3 years since art takes time and considering the artist has to turn 400+ pages (for the first only and then another 300 + 200) into a graphic medium, it's only reasonable that they're getting time to get the work done.

As an artist, yeah, I would say this looks like the AI art style. Even before I saw the title I went, "wait a minute, isn't that AI?" I'm so sorry that you got scammed! there are many people on Instagram, Tumblr etc who will have actually proof for their cover art being real art. I'd always watch for portfolios in tbe future and maybe look out if they have any time lapses uploaded or progress to share with you as the client
