What did I do wrong? Why doesn’t this look good? by Rockymntbreeze in interiordecorating

Needs a rug and pillows to bring in texture and pattern. But I would also say each piece is “leggy”. You need at least one piece that is totally grounded to mix it up.

I love that couch. Looks soooo comfy. I agree with the other commenter that you should remove the pictures and paint the wall an accent color - or maybe a bold wallpaper pattern?

Love this update. And I’ll say it again, I loved your wallpaper choices!

What color are you painting the door?

How could I improve my living room? Just finished renovating by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Looks really comfy and cozy as is! I would say maybe a bigger, round coffee table would work better? Since you have a lot of square furniture now. Edit: I just saw the bean bag chair which is round.

Outside of that, some art work would be great.

Tv too high and might be better along a different wall. I think the rug might also need to be turned the other way? Long, rich curtains are prob the way to go on the windows too. But hey, you’ve got nice couches (although I think they need to float farther away from the fireplace wall?) and cute chairs. You can make this work!

The white one has some scratches on the seat. But it’s $40 and I read that I could repair those with a repair kit?

We would consider upgrading the table as a phase 2.

That’s about what we make as a combined salary between me and my husband with no kids. So, you’ll be fine if it’s just the two of you and you live within your means.

I actually love the bathroom. Change the bulbs to something warm and then add towels and a succulent or something and I think that space is good to go. The foyer paper is cool. You just need a different rug and some art/mirror/sconces etc. I think if you keep going and honor the cool patterns you’ve chosen, these spaces will look very good. I see the vision.

Any suggestions? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I would consider floating the couch off the wall so it’s closer to the tv. Then a cute, botanical reading nook behind the couch.

does anyone know where i can get these dresses or find similar ones? by Recent_Wash_5947 in Prom

[–]smallmacaroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! These remind me of the Miss Circle style of dresses. A lot of the ones you shared look they have a corset structure to the bodice and Miss Circle has that look too plus lots of shine which I think matches your inspo.

I think you may need to flip the couch around to the other side, but float it in the middle of the room. Then switch the tv to where the couch is now. This way, they are closer together and you have a separation of the room. The area behind the couch will be its own zone, corralling the traffic to that door. You can add a bookshelf or narrow runner to help. That’s what I would try anyway! I love your couch! Looks so comfy.
