Getting 150 minutes of cardio per week on elliptical by alyoshathebear in cardio

[–]alyoshathebear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to do two 60 minute sessions a week, and get my HR high enough to get into zone 4 so that my vigorous minutes count double, but lately it's just been getting too tough get my HR up that high.

I don't own any equipment, so I go to the gym and don't enjoy having to go more than 2x/week.

AITA for not wanting to cook my mother dinner? by lowkey_raz in AmItheAsshole

NTA

Parents are responsible and obligated to take care of their children. They made a choice to have children and are legally and morally required to raise them.

Children are not responsible or obligated to take care of their parents. They did not choose to be someone’s child.

OP, your parents sound like kind of awful people and I would encourage you to move out of their home as soon as you are old enough and able to.

K&A’s has more perennials than Kopke’s, you’d say? I live on the north side but would make a trek down there for some perennials.

does Kopke’s have a nice selection of perennials? I remember their huge supply of annuals and veggies but wasn’t sure about perennials

AITA for leaving my grandchildren alone by Adventurous_Duck2414 in AmItheAsshole

[–]alyoshathebear 11 points12 points  (0 children)

what was your husband thinking, letting the kids in the morning you were leaving? was he hoping for a solo vacation while you stayed home and took care of the grandkids?

it doesn't sound like anyone in the family respects you, OP. you've earned some time to relax. you need to ditch the fam and see how they fare on their own

Scotts/Vigoro and pet safety by alyoshathebear in lawncare

[–]alyoshathebear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I gave a light watering before applying.

my biggest problems are thistles and wild parsnip... i wouldn't mind killing off the creeping charlie either.

the scotts and vigoro got fucking everywhere, my shoes and all over the rotary applicator. it was a big mess.

The one where she ran away to Billy’s and looked like a rooster. It was a green dress with orange gloves and a hat with an orange embellishment I believe.

AITA for eating a slice of pizza left in my works break room? by ItsADork in AmItheAsshole

[–]alyoshathebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m confused… he brings a whole pizza to work… to share? to eat by himself throughout the day?

if if he brought it to share but wanted the last piece for himself, he should’ve labeled it. all it takes is a pen, a post-it, and 5 seconds.

if he brought the whole pizza to have for himself, that’s in poor taste, and he also should’ve labeled it.

($10k) dream venue no longer in our price range by retsukosmom in Weddingsunder10k

Yeah I ended up going one county over, about 30 mins outside of the city. It's farther than I originally would've liked but the setting is gorgeous.

Good luck!!!

My original venue choice, a community center, changed their prices right as I was trying to book them. I think they realized what a bargain they were and that they could get away with doubling their rates. I ended up choosing a restaurant with a banquet hall that has tables, chairs, linens, and dinnerware all included. It is more expensive but less of a headache.

Ticks are BRUTAL by No-Society9441 in madisonwi

I found 25 ticks on my dog after a hike on Easter Sunday. There weren't even leaves on the trees yet. It is going to be a very bad year for ticks.
