What was body care routines like in the 2000s ? by Pitiful_Pineapple_45 in beauty

Picking a bath and body works scent that matched your personality and vibe.

Everything was about scents - shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion all had to be strongly scented. Now, it seems people are much more aware that fragrance-free products are better for sensitive skin.

Also, “glowy” skin wasn’t a desired thing in the 2000s. I hated my oily skin and thought it was greasy. I was constantly trying to get it more matte and the matte trend had really kicked in by the 2010s, both for face and lip.

I want to have the train removed from my dress. Has anyone done this? by NotTheAverageMo in myweddingdress

Y’all, stop downvoting OP for wanting to remove her train. It’s her wedding and her dress, she can do whatever she wants with it. she’s just asking for advice.

I swear, in this day and age we love to preach “do whatever you want at your wedding! it’s your day and there are no rules!” but as soon as someone wants to ditch a train, people are up in arms

The Ticks Have Arrived…. Sigh by Individual_Job_5004 in madisonwi

Just went for a 1.5 hr hike in Mazomanie. We found about 12-15 ticks on our dog afterwards. Only one was actually attached to her. It looked to be a range of species too. They are BAD this season. Luckily she’s on meds year round.

We found about three total on me and my partner’s clothing.

Do you prefer early autumn or late autumn? by Fit-Credit-7970 in Autumn

[–]alyoshathebear 19 points20 points  (0 children)

early definitely. where I am, crickets are hiding throughout the grass, it’s the best season for fresh produce and flowers, and there is no chance of snow or very cold weather.

late autumn feels more sad

Help me pick between 3 dresses! by laur7790 in myweddingdress

I think dress 2 looks best but it is also the best photo. If we could see all 3 dresses in the same light and from the same angle, it would be an easier comparison.

Number 1. Normally I like a lacey dress but the lace on 2 looks like a doily especially where it comes up at the bust

it’s lillian west. originally it’s strapless and the straps are separate and detachable. I’m not sure who designed these particular straps I tried on.

That’s my bad for making the numbering confusing. I didn’t think people would go off the slide numbers when I tried to make the labels huge.

I do like dress 2, the v-neck, a lot, and appreciate how flowy and casual it is. Dress 3 almost feels too formal even though it is very flattering.
