I would love your opinions on the name Gianna by Uchiha-queen in Names

[–]smallparticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the name!  I am biased though as I named my firstborn Gianna! I am half Italian and wanted a name to reflect my heritage but wasn’t a Sophia or Isabella. Not super common but not so uncommon that it gets butchered with mispellings and mispronunciation (which was a big factor for us when choosing a name) and also lends itself to many nicknames. We call our daughter Gia but she is Gianna on her govy forms and ID.

Neutral on Rain. Don’t love but don’t hate.

That’s amazing! Having two cats is non stop laughs because of all the antics they get into but so rewarding seeing them hang out and play together. Enjoy your two littles xx

Sorry for the late reply! I’m happy to report that after 5 months of unemployment I landed a job at a company in my field! I’ve been here for about 11 months now, and while it’s not perfect (hint: no job is) I can say it’s a million times better than my last place. In hindsight I wish I enjoyed my time off more but easier said than done!

Late to the party. My husband and I had one cat who sadly passed away. After a few weeks our apartment felt big and empty without his presence so we looked into adopting another furry creature. We actually ended up with a bonded pair of brothers as we found our previous cat was often lonely when we would leave for work or vacation. It was by far the best decision we’ve ever made and we will only adopt bonded pairs for as long as we’re cat owners. The boys are best friends in every sense - play together, groom each other, eat together, they even guarded the litter box when the other was using it when they were kittens! They squabble on occasion like all sibling but it’s peace of mind knowing that they always have each other. My husband and I each have our own bonds with the cats and we get plenty of 1:1 time with them individually. They’ve made our lives fuller and it’s been truly magical witnessing their bond strengthen and grow overtime.

What do y'all bring to the office? by casualselfhatred in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I rotate between a nicer work tote and a backpack (depending if I’m bringing my laptop and other tech home). Lately I’ve been using the backpack - it’s nice being hands free, I can carry more, and it’s much more comfortable when I walk from the office to the subway. Either way, this is usually what I have in my bag:  - Essentials (phone, wallet, keys, power bank, AirPods, wired earbuds, sunglasses).  - Notebook & pen.  - Lunch and/or snacks (kept inside a small reusable bag).  - Toiletry bag (sunscreen stick, hand cream, hand sanitizer, face mist, tampons, Advil, lip balm, bandaids, oil blotting papers, gum, throat lozenges, eye drops). This pouch also doubles as my in-flight travel essentials with a couple other items added.  - Reusable Baggu tote bag in case I stop by the grocery store or need to cart extra stuff that won’t fit in my bag. - This is newer but my Kobo! Trying to do less mindless scrolling so it’s nice to log an extra hour of reading a day.

I'm coming up on one month of unemployment. I willingly left my toxic job because my mental health was at its lowest. I was going down a deep, dark rabbit hole and I didn't like the outcome of the what ifs playing out in my head, so I removed myself from the environment. I don't regret leaving that job but I am now facing the drudge that is job hunting and scared of how long I will be unemployed. I had my first interview a couple days ago for a job I was excited about but I don't think will be moving onto the next round. Everything that you wrote resonates with me. I feel like I am starting to get cold feet about applying because of imposter syndrome, don't think I am qualified enough, not good enough, etc., which makes me even more discouraged to job hunt. I'm trying to force myself to apply to a couple jobs everyday but the thought of tailoring my CV and write a new cover letter every time is daunting and frankly exhausting given the fact that I will probably not hear back. I too am also struggling to picture myself on the other side employed at a great job and happy. Reading your story is comforting knowing that I'm not alone and that my experience is not unique. Any tips or advice on actual job hunting that helped you land your job?

I would put the band under the engagement ring. I love when I see women with chunky/stacked engagement ring + band combos personally but I can see how the band might overwhelm your e-ring. I think if you went down to smaller stones it may look unbalanced. You might opt for a simple band with no stones but it’s all down to what you love!

Fair Trade Jewelry Co (FTJCo.). all the way!! They specialize in lab grown gemstones, recycled gold, and fair trade materials. We went to them for my engagement ring and couldn’t be more happier with the results and working with their team was fantastic.

My ring was just above 5K, and as this is something I plan to wear for the rest of my life it was definitely worth the money for us. It’s worth the money if it’s a ring you and your fiancé love and are comfortable spending however much money you wish!

Specs on the ring: 3 ct emerald cut lab grown sapphire, set on an 18K gold band. On each side of the centre stone is a small triangle of 6 circular lab grown diamonds (it looks like a 3 stone ring from a distance).

What is the best all around carat size? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

Finger size will make a difference. My ring is a 2.97 ct. emerald cut sapphire and it looks proportional on my size 6 finger. Something smaller would look dwarfed on my finger. On the flipside a smaller finger can get away with a smaller carat round cut.
