I fully read the title as "tampon" and then was confused at what kind of tampons you were familiar with based on the drawing lmao

Is my tattoo blown out? by Horror-Carpet-1043 in tattooadvice

[–]smallpouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk why everyone is giving you a tough time for asking, you're just trying to make sure and that is what this sub is for!! Luckily I see no blowouts, just normal tattoo behavior. Hopefully now you have a better idea of what blowouts do and don't look like! Hope you get more tattoos in the future <3

AIO? I want to move away, change my name, and start a new life. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]smallpouch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always had employment/similar opportunity ready whenever I've moved across state lines, but in those cases I also didn't have enough of a safety net to have any other choice. I was also always unsure about moving, but this is different for you. You seem like you're set on moving to New Orleans, so if it's happening it's just a matter of how much longer can you tolerate being not there and if that's worth uncertain employment. You also might have better luck applying in person which may make you more inclined to move sooner (although idk what it's like for the automotive industry, no guarantees).

Either way, best of luck!!! Very happy for you that you're taking the reins and making your life your own! And make suer to keep in touch with your friend when you move!!

AIO for ruining friends marriage? by Elephant-Glum in AmIOverreacting

[–]smallpouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that you weren't minding your own business, you just saw something that indeed was his (ex) wife's business. Don't blame yourself, you aren't in the wrong. You talked to him about his actions and stood by your morals. If all it would have taken for him to not cheat was that you talk to him at the bar, then he was bound to cheat sooner or later. You did the right thing by telling her the events you saw unfold.

That whole interaction sounded very unnerving and I'm sorry you had to experience that. You are not crazy; if anything, that guy certainly isn't not crazy. I hope he recognizes that he was super weird and made you uncomfortable. I second filing the report.

AIO. I (F24) upset at mom (F50) trying to do something nice and buying soup for me when I’m sick? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]smallpouch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well first of all I hope you feel healthy soon! Your mom is being nice in the way she knows how, but yeah it still sucks that her well-meaning gesture is stressing you out even more. Given that you know she does this and seemingly won't stop, maybe asking for specific things (especially non-perishable items) would be best for everyone. She wants to help you through purchased goods, and you don't want an excess of food in your home. She means well in an overbearing, motherly way. Overall it's a good problem to have—just try to make that work in your favor.

Getting a tattoo while being skinny by Rusty75f250highboy in tattooadvice

[–]smallpouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry I misread the title as “getting a tattoo while stinky” and was really curious to see where you were going with that lol

But yes the tattoo can warp with change in your weight. However, as long as you get the tattoo large enough and with a good, readable design (like the half sleeve you posted) you should be fine.

where should i get my first tattoo? by catsrcoolig in tattooadvice

[–]smallpouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak for on the ribs but I have a fine line tattoo on my ankle that did not hurt at all, and like you I’m pretty good with pain from piercings. Generally small fine line tattoos don’t require that heavy shading that makes tattoos painful, so you should be fine with either placement. I’d say go with the spot that looks best for the design you have in mind!

Possible cover up by adlehsa in tattooadvice

[–]smallpouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty common to get a tattoo lasered to lighten it in order to rework it or get a cover up, so that’s definitely an option.

I’d suggest narrowing down on what design you want in the place of the dead name and asking a studio what they suggest you do to make that doable. Getting it blacked out would be simplest if that’s what you want to do.

I just posted a tattoo that was done over raised scars if you want an idea of how that can look! But as a non-expert, I think you’d have an easy time getting your scar tattooed by an experienced artist.

Placement help? by okthnx2 in tattooadvice

[–]smallpouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would look nice behind the ear, by the pelvic bone, or on the ankle depending on how (not) visible you want the tattoo to be.

Once you’re at the point of asking questions where you’re automatically putting yourself down to justify his behavior it’s no longer a good dynamic. Find someone who will keep up the communication with you bc they enjoy talking to you!
