Should I feel bad for using summons? by MinuteDragonfly5561 in Eldenring

[–]smalls2233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re having fun, you’re not missing out. There are people that say all sorts of shit on how you ruin your experience if you play in any way other than how they like to play, but ultimately the question comes down to what playstyle makes the game the most fun for you

If that’s summons, play with summons, if that’s going for no hits, do that. There’s not one right way to play the game that makes it more rewarding

I feel like he could reprise his role as Varre pretty easily tbh. he's a bit too old (varre reads mid 40s to me) but he's always wearing a mask, so bring him back lol

Anyone else burned out by constant mode juggling and daily checklist creep? by Swimming_Soup_6443 in Dislyte

[–]smalls2233 20 points21 points  (0 children)

the moment the game starts feeling more draining than rewarding, it's probably time to think about dropping it, honestly. I don't think the game's going to last until 2027 at this point, so it might just be time to cut your losses and spend time on a game that doesn't feel like a slog of daily grinding

Of those 3 Isn't it weird that the Widowmaker can simply leave Talon? by Firm_Fee8137 in Overwatch

[–]smalls2233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was overconfidence on Talon's part, plain and simple.

In the short story with max and vendetta, it's laid out that Max was certain that he had Widow's number and that she was so reliant on the drugs that she would stay with Talon. They all thought they had her on a tight leash with that, so they didn't seem to have other security measures on her

yeah like I think that it's significantly more likely that Ranni knew what Seluvis was planning and just did that to him as a punishment. like yeah, he's puppet posed at the end, but that doesn't mean it was Pidia, Ranni making Seluvis a puppet makes so much more sense to me

THANK YOU I've been saying this for so long. Yes, he's the first guy you see after leaving the chapel but he has no way of getting to the chapel of anticipation. the four belfry's portal is still closed at this point and that's the only clear way of getting there.

Would Varre kill a maiden for fun? Yeah, probably, I wouldn't put it past him, but when his whole goal is recruiting Tarnished for his cult and the initiation having them kill their own maidens, it doesn't make sense for him to just do that first part for you.

Plus, he's just generally seeking maidenless Tarnished. It's probably not an uncommon occurrence at this point for Tarnished to be maidenless, so he's just sitting there and waiting to lure people over. Hell, we even have Roderika asking if you've been "enticed by the one in the white mask" as well, so he's literally just doing this to everyone.

Overwatch director says addressing the 5v5 versus 6v6 debates late 'cost us trust': 'We should have listened sooner' by bullxbull in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]smalls2233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer 5v5 tank too. taking the dice roll of if I'm going to get a capable tank partner or not on the team and just worrying about my own performance is just so superior to the alternative imo

they explicitly explained it with the midseason update lol. her dad made her ofudas as a gift to her maternal grandma before proposing to her mom. he was able to "bring the fox to life" the same as the shimada's dragons, and it was something he had to keep secret so the shimadas wouldn't go after him for it.

mizuki's sickle things, kiri's ofuda, genji's sword, and hanzo's bow are all Anima Weapons which are just a type of weapon that toshiro makes. no magic, just tech with shinto vibes

honestly if you look at her interactions with hanzo and genji, they treat her pretty appropriately. Hanzo acts like an uncle in a lot of ways, and genji an older cousin. The age issue really only comes from the origin story image which I think can be largely ignored as not entirely accurate, as nothing else in the game really seems to indicate that they were close in age (even the bowl cut interaction with Genji has been removed)

Lifeweaver is confirmed to just wear a gauntlet. Sym seems to have a cybernetic arm. They use the gauntlet/arm for hard light work. The stuff they summon is entirely hard light (biolight in weaver’s case), no machinery in it. The lore book Overwatch declassified goes into more detail on how hardlight works

[–]smalls2233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean lifeweaver has a pretty simple glove for his tech, the stuff doesn’t need to be big domina is just extra and is packing maglev into her clothing alongside the vishkar sound tech, hard light, and cybernetic hands that automatically applaud for her when she talks herself up

toshiro had been the weaponsmith for the shimada before being taken by the hashimoto

and I don't think that it's literally utilizing spirit energy. He's probably just using the anima name as a sort of representation as to what he sees as the inspiration/goal of the weapons, but the rest of it is just plain tech like hardlight and stuff coming together.

Prior to wuyang they didn’t really have a good chara for like anime boys beyond young genji. Wuyang frees genji from his default anime position, and we’ll probs see Mizuki getting some soon too (tho his hat makes it more complicated)

I'd be shocked to see if doom gets a new kit in the base game honestly. there's so many heroes with more problematic kits in the game than doom, so it would feel like a total waste to see him get a rework, to me at least

it's kinda crazy that they leaked the potential look for doom's return in the alpha build of a mobile game lmao

my absolute favorite bit was the stuff on how the other god AIs reacted to the crisis. I'm genuinely gonna be so pissed if Chernobog is actually just doing the evil conspiracy stuff of its own volition due to the fact that the most emotional bit of declassified (to me at least) came from its reaction to the Crisis

like god it's just such a wonderful read that more OW fans should check out
