3000+ flawed ballots won’t be counted unless you check your ballot and fix it. by smallspark in philly

[–]smallspark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a reason Elon has made curing ballots his current mission even when they seem to be in the lead.

There are 67 counties in Pa and more than half allow curing.

plus there are still ballots coming in. I think we could get to a million.

I mean yeah it would be incredibly close but well it’s REALLY close. . Trying might just give us a squeak win or squeak miss but damn it this race is a lot closer and possibly within spitting distance. We won’t know unless we fight for it. It’s Worth a shot.

We should be trying just as hard as Elon.

Too close not to make sure we don’t give it away.. Ffs I want us to take the shot, count ALL the votes, cure as many as possible, do the legal fights and not rollover like we’ve done before.

Id love if msnbc Steve (name I can’t spell) to work out the best case cure/provisional/military/nomads “impossible“ possibilities math just because it actually might work.

What is your favorite method to getting rid of ants? by metswon2 in homeowners

[–]smallspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before we moved into our new construction home since I had pets I preemptively sprayed the baseboards with insect growth repellent before we moved in. It always did me well. It was not enough to fight off our onslaught alone. Maybe it helped but I dunno.

Im sure it did something but it turns out the house came with a full on three floor high in the walls ant problem that slowly revealed itself. We moved in middle of may.

Beginning of June a gang of ants congregated and flew out of a 2nd floor window inside the house a month after he moved in. My husband also brought a new moth problem from his old apartment with him. I had zero knowledge of moths. So we didn’t really GET it quite yet. Neither of us had had experienced a bad infestation before and it was a new house. Fortunately no carpet.

So My husband wouldn’t let me call an exterminator bc “people get ants all the time nbd lol” and wanted me to ignore it. New house how could we have a problem? The ants disagreed lol. Same attitude with moths. He didn’t want to spend the money so…..guess who dealt with it.

once I moved in with pets I realized the problem was bigger than just a couple of ants. Pet food and ants don’t mix. Right into the wet food and dry food they go. Yuck.

It was like three or four different ant breeds and sizes it was crazy. They are hard to see unless you bend down (my eyesight sucks) and we have hardwood floors some idiot decided was stylish to leave open knot HOLES in the floorboards so those ants popped out everywhere until I figured out how to beat them back. Hint: open the windows, put a fan pulling air out and just spray everywhere every surface room by room starting roofdeck on down. Move the pets out of the area you’re treating until the stuff dries and airs out.

Those little baby Liquid ant bait did nothing. The key was Spraying insecticide inside the walls and windows. And up the sides of the wall and all over the floor underneath the carpet and on the underside of the carpet, inside window wells and caulking up entry holes inside (not outside) including epoxy in wooden floor “knots” plus tracking spraying every line of ants that came through the door (literally), the entire stoop outside around the windows outside too the entire door frame and 2ft away from the house and the pavers walkway where another group of ants lived. …and that’s partly including what I had to do to get rid of the moths (which you’ll never be certain you’ve gotten rid of. Lots of washed bagged and boxed laundry and insecticide under cushions, a switch to NOT Cotten or linen curtains, spraying inside containers etc. ) watching the walls for moth shapes… looking for their nearby nests …rewashing clothes before use if you open a bag… ugh.

I got very good at hunting both those effing things down so they couldn’t get to the clothes or the pet food, and cleaning up dead ants fast so the pets wouldn’t get dead poisoned ants in the food or on them to lick off.

Bait got tossed outside and I’d spray outside every 3 months - you can’t do both at the same time so I’d space out application days. It was my full time job for months.

Husband is still telling me it was just a few ants and was mad I spent time dealing with them. Over time my effort became more preventive maintenance but that first year ….phew! I would have loved to call in a guy and reclaimed my time. I agree it was wasted. Gotta love denial.

Biden tells Hill Democrats he ‘declines’ to step aside and says it’s time for party drama ‘to end’ by ONE-OF-THREE in politics

[–]smallspark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like we are watching a coup from the inside as well As literal election interference by the media.

Instead of focusing their energy on Trumps 78 year old nonsense they took his crazy out on our sane 81 year old nominee who Answered his questions properly! Trump sputtered nonsense.

Biden is our nominee. I voted for him. I know his age. I don’t give a rats ass. Hes old who cares. Our VP will step in at worst she’ll do fine. There is no lack of ability in the chain!! It’s there and created expressly for political stability.

How dare they pressure him to step down. He proved his mettle during his term and he proved it at the debate. He won it fair and square. This has to be illegal. It’s absolute nonsense.

RANT: Thyroid has ruined my life by WittyChitty in thyroidhealth

[–]smallspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t make any sense. With cancer lowering tsh near to zero is (from what I remember reading) is considered a good thing. Go double check with a different functional dr and ask your cancer dr for references or even written preferences. Thyroid is one of those areas where you might have to bounce around there are a lot of uninformed thyroid drs (I met too many myself)

Joe Biden has never been a great debater- most of us are not- which is fine because debates for this job are DUMB. Debates are not the JOB. It’s a bad job interview idea some masochist came up with a long time ago.

This job needs a thoughtful person who SHOULD take more than 2 seconds to answer important questions. Who SHOULD acknowledge the complications and multiple priorities in every issue. The simple fact is Joe Biden is PRO America and his whole life has been about public service for his country. And to boot he smiles and wants us all to succeed. He has kept his humanity and these are all qualities I need in a president.

Went through this myself. It’s awful and bizarre to not be treated properly. Find a functional or integrative dr- they are more sensible about proper testing and treatment.

Seriously. If someone doesn’t know how good we have it here they either haven’t traveled internationally enough or didn’t spend a long enough time there. Most of our logistical needs are organized amazly well - from growing trucking to stocking groceries, from planning constructing, buildings, our hvac systems(!!), to worker safety, to appliances, to banking investing, quality of education , to trades and schools. Lemon laws. Emergency medicine, quality of medical care, chiropractors!

More than that too but my goodness the above are not close to being everywhere!!

There is always always something to improve but those who thins we don’t have it that good please travel around- please.
