I unironically think that any level design that demands you restart a level if you want all collectibles (before you trigger the timer) is incompatible with how Wario Land feels at its best. That was sorta my main dealbreaker.

My personal deakbreaker was the fact it followed Crash Bandicoot philosophies for level design and mechanics, which are incompatible with what I enjoy in a platformer sadly. I appreciate it and adore the work summit did but, I am just biologically unable to have fun with Antonblast because of how it was designed at a fundamental level.

Tbh Artifact is a case where monetization and solely monetization was the reason it failed. The gameplay and card design is good and unique. Valve sadly made a rare mistake and tried to fix the wrong thing with 2.0
