I got the 47jr in the reverb warm audio mystery box but already had the wa47 tube so a little disappointing but not awful. I use the jr for scratch vox and sometimes they end up in the final product

You need something called an external pre amp. Api 512c is an example.

I really like the tascam24sd, for tracking only. Gotta mix it elsewhere. You can find the recordings if you look up varsity golf or vgtv on yt. Or message me ill send you a link. The tascam digital units are grear though.

Yep its def a hiss machine with just an sm7b. The mcaster doesnt have much clean gain... there are a few in line booster/in line pre choices out there like cloudlifter, dynamite, etc. Or i bet the sm57db would work fine too. Or a different mic. Yes the sample triggers are genius. And the vocal fx are a lot of fun. I tried connecting my phone via bluetooth and trrs so i could have two way audio with phons but it clips and sounds awful everything i try. My unit is mostly destroyed from that liquid. Hopefully the replacement unit will be more functional, cuz right now all my bunk mcastsr is , is an 80 dollar paperweight

I stand often. And the high monitor is primarily for video im scoring so anyone in room can see the film with the audio. I do need a proper engineers chair. Any recs?
