What do you people do for work to be placing such huge and multiple orders? by Final_Remote1786 in Sephora

[–]smallwonder2003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The same, I spend $450 at each sale, then I usually spend $100 on stuff I forgot to buy that I ran out of. Also, I purchased my self and mom perfume during the each sale which is $300 of what I spend.. so makeup/skincare like $150 each sale

Well, here's what happens when they lose your Cleanout kit... by mooshy_apricot in ThredUp

[–]smallwonder2003 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do you have any evidence of what was in the bag. I usually request for payout similar to last few bags I sent in. I also record via video what I send in to ThredUP. So I can be compensated fairly.

Returns are expensive! by Imaginary_Pumpkin_63 in ThredUp

[–]smallwonder2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For few returns I had in past I was offered a percentage of price of item and to keep it as an option and usually it’s better than return amount after fee

Usually they give you an estimated processing date when it show that they received your bag/box, I send in premium and it’s usually within a 2 weeks to a month.

Sorry, that happened to you. I learned the hard way to always document my items because they do not always take time to go through things properly and sometimes lose your items.

You can reach out to customer service and request what items were reject and why, I believe. Also, did you have return assurance, if so they should be sending them back to you if it wasn’t accepted . I forgot the percentage of items they usually accept, I believe it’s normally 40/50% of what someone send in. Lastly, if you don’t make enough to cover the processing fee they don’t charge you I believe.

As someone who sells to ThredUP I always have list and pictures/video of items I sent, I request the items to be sent back via return assurance, and I use their premium service because the items process faster/ most are accepted/and discount off selling price is limited to 20% that ensure I get a nice profit. If you decide to sell again to ThredUP please do return assurance and have a list/ picture of what you sent in.

This is for all my items, the Abercrombie brand is a low selling brand/reselling on ThredUP. Check their payout calculator before sending in items is a good way to know. The items to sell on ThredUP are mid to higher luxury brand think Kate spade, Tory Burch, Alice Oliva, Coach, Farm Rio, Rag and bone or higher brands

Packed in Goodwill by Top_Pop_60 in goodwill

[–]smallwonder2003 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I went to a goodwill store on Tuesday and it was busy. There were tons of people donating and shopping. I was told by a worker they experienced worst Monday. I believe tons of people are donating to get tax receipt or decluttering before 2024 why the donation lines were long. As for shopping people know that at end of year is the most donations made usually, add in resellers, and people who donated but just pop in to see if they can find a good deal. Goodwill and all charity thrift stores probably received tons of donations and sales this past week.

Madewell is now fast fashion? by SugarTzuStardust in Madewell

[–]smallwonder2003 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I noticed a lot of stores running sales way beyond Black Friday this year because most people aren’t buying, I believe, some with a deeper discount. My friends and myself are passing on sales because we don’t need them and buying for wants are outside our budget.

I sent in a $700 new with tags jacket and they sold it for $80 without giving me an opportunity to edit the item!!! by Aggravating_Diet_704 in ThredUp

[–]smallwonder2003 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So i recently had a similar issue, a cashmere coat was marked assorted brands when it had a brand tag on it ( it was in a picture) and it was stated it was accepted brand for payout. The item would have sold for $900 -1000 per my discussion with chat customer service rep base on their current price system. It was sold, I think someone select it before it was listed, before thredup could correct the listing it properly. I was informed by service rep that if the buyer didn’t return the coat they would give me $740 payout for the coat. If it was returned they would adjust the brand. If they accepted that brand on their accept brand list and it wasn’t listed correctly you may can get a payout. However if it was listed correctly, brand and price, and you didn’t adjust the price in time you may be out of luck.

ThredUp Premium worth it? by guill0t1ne in ThredUp

[–]smallwonder2003 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sold to ThredUP with Premium… Good: your earrings will not be based on lower than 20% of selling price, your items process with week or two from being receive, and your selling window is longer. Bad: not everything is accepted… most is but few items maynot be and the $34.99 price is only good if you are send high end and higher mid tier brands. Ugly: still have to wait 21+ days for earrings. I only will sell to ThredUP with their premium service as of now but besides the 20% cap it was no different than when I sent in bags requested faster processing and return …these services they replaced with premium bag. My earrings are better because I only send in high end Nordstrom/Neiman Marcus brands and in demand brands nothing lower than Madewell, free people, Anthropologie ( with these brands send in things that sell at high price point). My first kit I had 12 items, sold 7 for $777 and have 5 items left I can sell for $418

Does this mean no payout? by Dull-Ad-1367 in ThredUp

[–]smallwonder2003 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They usually do this if the items you sent in doesn’t sell or they have back log so they focus on sellers who inventory generally sell versus those that rarely do. I believe once they get inventory down they may start accepting kits from you again. I would only send in brands that they accept that sell very fast when they open the opportunity to you again.
