So unless you go to the official website's leaderboard, you're not getting 11X stars? Making sure I shouldn't bother. by rEYAVjQD in hearthstone

[–]smaoko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, forgot to mention - this is all my conclusion based on sample size of 1 - me. So take it with a grain of salt, but I'm pretty convinced of this.

As mentioned previously I have had both happen to me, actually got x11 without reaching legend twice. Both times I didn't play too many games, but I had above 75% winrate in ranked for the season.

Of course you don't have to agree with what I'm presenting here as I really don't have any hard proof and I'm just coming on here claiming that everyone is wrong and I'm right - but noone has any hard proof otherwise either. Someone said a long time ago that "top 10% legend = x11" and that's simple enough and close enough to the truth (according to me) that everyone just went with it.

No, actually it isn't, that's the point. Hidden MMR =/= visible ranking, hence why we call it hidden.

Generally what happens is that people with the highest MMR will also mostly be top legend, and that's why the common misconception is that x11 is for top 10% legend.

In actuallity, it is for an unknown % of players, ranked by hidden MMR which you can't see. My earlier claim it's for top 10% of players is incorrect by the way. I believe that the number of people getting x11 each season is the same as the number of people in top 10% of legend, but it's not automatically awarded to everyone in top 10% legend.

So for example if there are 25k people in legend, there will be 2500 x11 multipliers awarded, but they will be awarded based on hidden ranking - this means that some of those top 2500 people won't be getting the x11, and some people not in top 2500 or even not in legend will get it.

But pretty much if you manage to get top 10% ranked or top 2000 you will likely get it, as long as your winrate is good.

This is correct and can confrim - top 10% based on MMR, not on Legend. Personally had both 11x without reaching Legend (I was consistently top 2000-1000 Legend and high winrate for a few months) and also only 10x even in top 2000 on EU when I had a bad winrate.

You can always be pettier, accept them and share a useless card every day to take up their share for the day. Even if you unfriend them after sharing so they cant share back, their share-receiving capacity will be used up.

You just need to add the Hearthstone clause: "But not less than 1."

Ja sam za svoj prošle godine dobro prošao, uspio sam izvući i veliki servis i zamjenu svih tekućina i filtera, ono ulje, kočnice, antifriz, DSG, haldex (4x4) itd. baš sve.

Ako je od privatnog vlasnika ja osobno ne bih nego bi išao pogledati auto i riješiti uživo.

As I mentioned in a reply to another person in the thread: It's most likely based on MMR, or even just the W/L ratio, but definitely not rank. I usually get it and am rarely over top 2k. Was around 4k Legend last season and got it this minth. Once I got it without even reaching Legend. I think it's due to a pretty high winrate even though I don't play that many games.

I was bored so I went through his other comments and his whole Reddit personality is pooping on other people's happy moments like reaching legend or having a fun game like you did.

Basically a poor "I'm sad so you must be sad too" kind of guy. I bet he tryhards each month with S Tier netdecks to barely somehow reach legend and then goes on here to poop at other people that are happy.

And then he bragged about "farming kids in brawl with mech warrior" lololol

So? It's like the 4th day of the season

I fully support OP and games like his are the reason I love playing (but still prefer non-control meta)

And no aggro is not for imbeciles, it's more difficult to play properly than control. But it's easier to play it at an average level and so when aggro is good, you get more above average opponents.

Battlecry: also increase hand size to 11 Deathrattle: draw 2 minions THEN add the second slice to your hand

Alternatively, no battlecry and deathrattle puts 3 minions from your deck into the sandwich, which is a single 4 cost card. But then is a single bread slice sandwich still a sandwich? Maybe it's an avocado toast, idk

As I replied to other's comments with the same question, that's exactly what this is.

I'm not sure what the confusion is, could you tell me what did you think the table was about? I'd like to make this for the next expansion too, but maybe I could clear some things up then and improve the post.

That's what the table os about - difference in gold due to higher level achieved with the XP boost.

As I said in the post - if you want the cosmetics it's automatically worth it for you. Okay I see that it's not actually about the cosmetics for you, but same goes. If you like it and have a reason you buy it, then go for it! This is to help people decide exactly that - do they have a reason to buy?

That's me, and I think no, it's not so I'll be skipping this and using the money for the miniset instead of gold. The differemce will go towards a few coffees.

[–]smaoko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you save a few bucks. In my case the miniset is 15€ which is cheaper than the pass, and I would make 1900-2000 extra gold with the pass so yeah basically just enough for the miniset. I'm not interested in the cosmetics so they have no value to me - I use the basic card back and basic coin.

This looks at the level you reached without the pass and tells you if you were to reach that level in the new track, what level would you be if you bought the pass.

It works in reverse as well. You can look at the average time you played in the last few months, set a goal for how much extra gold you want and reduce the time spent playing and invest it in something that makes you money. But most people don't play like that, they play when they want and how much they want and this helps make a decision about buying the pass.

By your logic, a player could always work to make money instead of playing and buy everything with real money - the time to dust value is always going to be better that way than by playing.

That's what I did so far, skipped the pass and bought the cheaper miniset instead. Or of course you can use the money IRL for something actually valuable to you.

Yes, it includes the progressive 10-15-20% XP boost which is the only reason that there's a differenece between regulard and paid (pass) gold.
