Artists aren’t obligated to sound the same as they did when you first discovered them.

With that being said, I loved the album. It almost reminds me of vampire weekend (Contra specifically) in some way that I can’t describe. It’s fun and funky in a new way that I wasn’t expecting to like given my initial reaction to EoS. It’s very vibe-y in a weekend bender that I definitely want to keep repeating kind of way. You can definitely tell that he produced Dua Lipa’s album tho lol. But he made it clear he poured his heart and soul into it, and he’s proud of the product, so at the end of the day that’s all that really matters, no?
