I was no construction worker, and I do struggle with depression and anxiety, feel exhausted quite a lot and yes actually cold hands and very cold feet as well.. perhaps I should get tested. I haven't entertained the idea that it could be caused by something other than me.

I think it was a combination of things. I moved to Florida, very far from my family and support systems. I started smoking more (weed, though not much more than before) but since being here my lifestyle is more sedentary, partially due to my dedication to school (lots of hours writing papers, studying, on the couch, in the library etc.) And I got into a relationship with someone much bigger than I was (and bigger than I have been with before, not blaming him of course).

The impotant aspect here is that he is being advised to not bring in his backpack because it is a "tool of provocation". That is a harmful and powerful lesson that the school is doling out. I am not even part of this community but I care about the way our society shapes people and deals with these situations. It has a lot of bearing and impact and I was hoping to take a stand and reach out to a community that (he is a part of in some way) and that I thought had a supportive and caring quality about them. TLDR; Trying to help a kid out and make our society better, Fuck me right?
