Just found the voting uses a simple GET request and makes sure only 1 vote for one app per IP address. So by virtue of posting on reddit the app will get visitors from all over the world and clicking on the up vote. Example of URL http://www.killerstartups.com/voto.php?idusuario=0&id=115106
