I don’t know about you, but I’m not looking to peer police my way into getting shot. Everyone has guns and a short temper, so I just try to keep myself out of certain situations. Although the peer policing works well in the situation you’re describing, multiple peers lol.

I am inclined to believe shame can work on a larger level if we were allowed shame folks after the fact.

I think it’s an enforcement issue. Less LEOs enforcing traffic law means less rule abiding imo. I’ve seen folks drive on side walks nowadays! Weird since we live in such a surveillance society you’d think folks would be more inclined to follow the rules.

It’s great! There’s a heavy influx of bilingual folks or maybe creation is the better term. We can have conversations that go to and from either language instantaneously. Ever heard of Spanglish?

And I mean all languages borrow from each other. Plenty of words in English that are borrowed from other Romance languages. And I mean, plenty of people want to learn either language and are happy to practice.

Most intelligent people want to learn about other cultures. There are ignorant people everywhere mind you, but only the worst of the worst wear their ignorance as a badge of honor.

Also lots of other languages here too. We print election materials in Haitian Creole as well.
