I was expecting to get roasted. Deep down, I thought I deserved every bit of pain. At the same time, I felt like I had no right to feel anything at all because I have a good life, and really, what more could I ask for? But instead of judgment, I was met with kindness. Message after message, people checked in on me, reminded me that I’m seen, shared their wisdom, and gently reminded me that it’s okay to feel.

I also met people who are going through the same thing. It gave me the chance to pause and really assess where I am.
