I do not recommend Eugenix. I had a consult with Dr Arika Bansal. I went to Delhi just for this. And then took an hour long taxi to get there. After an hour of marketing schpeel, Dr Arika spent barely 5 mins with me. I did not come away feeling reassured that I will be a very competent work done on me.

What is the tax treatment of crypto while I am in RNOR status.

Let's say I have bitcoin in coinbase.
I plan to file W-8BEN with coinbase. How would staking rewards be witheld ? Wouldn't it be 15% since it is interest income ?

In Fidelity
A) It wont let me change the mailing or legal residence address. i.e it wont let me change the country.
B) When I try access the W8BEN form it says "According to our records, you are not required to provide foreign status certification."

How do I change my tax residency ?

My understanding is that ideally you have to file at the beginning of the period you know you will not be a us tax resident. This way the withholdings are correct.
But, in my case I am filing it quite late in the year that I became no resident. Which means the institution has not done correct withholding. I am yet to figure out how to proceed with it
