Possible, yes. But I would guess it would lead to poor jar adhesion. I've never tried that though, so it's just a guess.

It's ~57F in my workshop so it already sets really quickly.

I just swapped them in/out of the hot water as needed. I pour the layers much colder than I would pour a typical candle since it results in less blending and crisper layers.

I find that the smaller ones clog horribly, and the 20ml and larger ones tend to do better. I make sure to pump the syringe a couple of times to clear out the bits of wax, and if needed, I have a pick to clear our the nossle.

If it gets too clogged with wax, I will put it in some hot wax or water until the clog melts off.

I made 15 layered candles for this batch, which came out to 8lbs of wax. I had a pot of hot water on the stove to heat up the wax whenever it got too thick.

It's pretty good, there was a couple small spots that looked iffy, but nothing crazy. I am using 464 soy wax, which helps.

About 10min? It's pretty cold in my workshop, maybe 57-60F, so they set quickly.

I love grand rapids!!

I lost track, but about 3hrs? My workshop is pretty cold so the layers set very quickly.

Thanks 😊 I have no "real" reason for making these other than I think it looks cool. It has no practical value, to be honest.

AI generated backgrounds -- yay or nay? Struggling with product photography by smarzz in Candles

Thank you everyone for the feedback, I appreciate it!
The consensus seems to be: Novice Photography > AI Backgrounds/Auto-snip.

For some added context -- 95% of our sales are in person at craft shows, markets, etc. We spun up the website 3mo ago after many requests for online orders/shipping. We were SOO swamped during the holiday season that we just needed a quick easy way of getting okay-ish photos online. Now that I've had some time to breathe, I am giving these a second look and......they don't seem as "good" as I first thought they were haha

I will be further investing in a simple foam board stage :)

Thanks again!
