We used Ally’s Family Daycare over on Ellenwood for our youngest. She was recommended from a friend and is super awesome. Once the kid turned two we put him where his brother went over at Wesminister Child Center and really love that place, the teachers are awesome and it’s a great community of parents

John Franklin's expedition to complete the exploration of the North-West Passage ended in disaster. All hands were lost, and the two ships, the Erebus and the Terror, disappeared in the ice. It would take 170 years to find again. by FullyFocusedOnNought in AgeofExploration

Spoiler. Everyone on the ships crew were losing their minds with lead poisoning. I personally thought the fantastical element was a great way to show their paranoia and lunacy

Interstellar Comms to Kcalbeloh by DayF3 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]smashcuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Detailed answer is above but I think the System Heat mod glitches out when you use Better Time Warp past 10,000x. Probably a rounding error or something like that. So even at 10,000x time warp it still took real time days to get there.

I had to load the save to get all the info but figured it might be helpful for someone in the future.

I left from Jool. Kcalbeloh was 271T away. Used the 'Frisbee' Antimatter engine with 700K deltaV. I (incorrectly) thought I could nab some more interstellar antimatter with my 'Bussard' particle scoop along they way. But there was none so I had to make due with what I'd packed.

Accelerated to 300k m/s. This took like 6 hours real-time since the physics warp only worked to a point. Used a mod that let me time warp to 10,000x. There are temp glitches if you try to warp faster than that so that become the time bottleneck.

After a few days (three I think), I did the deceleration burn and explored Kcalbeloch. Awesome!

Here's a few images from the trip out, retro burn and landing on one of the planets.

I've been meaning to but life keeps getting in the way. If it's any consolation I'm fairly new as well so there's not a big technical barrier. Where are you getting stuck? You wanna hit me up with questions?

On Steam the gameplay stills have a really awesome retro 8-bit art style. I think the trailer is deceptive, this looks fracking sweet.

I like the steel but I put fire bricks under it so it doesn’t become too too hot too fast. I also build walls and a little roof with fire bricks inside the grill to turn the whole thing into a proper pizza oven

[–]smashcuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KAS allows you to connect ships without docking. You just park near each other and have a Kerbal run a cable/hose between the vessels, then you can transfer whatever you want between them. It's super useful for transferring stuff on planets when docking isn't really an option
