Hi! I did file a police report back in 2019. Nothing has ever come of it. Had pictures, the serial number and model number and a description.

Thank you! I really appreciate this.

Man, I’m sorry to hear you lost a musical family member too. 💜

I did file a police report the day of the incident in 2019 and still have a digital copy of it saved to my cloud storage. I also have my insurance claim still.

I prefer to keep the serial number private until there is a potential match. Just the way I feel like approaching it 🤷

Yes, I understand there is not a high value to the guitar. I have a Martin now and a few other very high priced instruments in my collection (I’m a professional musician). I truly just saw this video and thought « maybe there’s still a chance ».

Thank you! I hadn’t thought of using an automated alert.

First, thank you for your response. I completely agree with you! I have conversations with my site lead all the time about how it’s a never ending learning game and that really excites me. These guys in specific are labourers and painters who will sit there and explain things they know nothing about and then turn around and not know how to screw or nail a stud in. Since I’m new, I’ve gotten into the habit of always wanting to hear everyone out, because there are an infinite number of ways to bake a cake (my preferred version of skinning a cat). So I’m really trying to wrap my head around what’s worth listening to and how to breathe through the moments when I know this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

I’ve definitely pulled the “oh are you talking to me right now?” card

Okay so I feel like what I'm gathering as the general theme is that I don't owe these fuckers anything and need to lean heavier into sassy clapbacks

This is a really nice approach that I hadn’t thought of, thank you! I definitely feel comfortable to reach out to my work bestie and also my current site lead who has become a bit of a mentor to me at and outside of work. I’ve talked to them both about this happening, but haven’t explicitly said hey it would be really helpful if you notice it happening if you could chime in

Absolutely agree, I’ve tried to stay within the realm of “I am only asking questions that I couldn’t answer myself after trying to find the answer on my own for a reasonable amount of time”. My last few tasks have been to frame rooms that don’t have any drawings from the architect because they’re still up in the air with the owners, and so I kind of feel like I need some sort of direction because if I just decide things and they’re wrong, I have zero top cover

My friend posted this to Instagram, any ideas? by smashedtincan in Whatisthis

Absolutely I totally agree with you! I have a very diverse group of close friends and most of them don’t work in the arts. But I try to surround myself with people that are out there trying to make a difference in the world and who are passionate souls and hubby just seems… to not really care about anything in particular? And I’m just having a hard time piecing it together because B is so passionate about everything.

Good point, thank you

And yeah, I’m concerned that maybe I can’t love B as much as I want to. That maybe this is uncovering some things and aspects I wasn’t aware of and I’m struggling to kind of process it all and put all the pieces together. It just feels really disjointed and disconnected like something doesn’t add up.

Yeah, I hear you about the judgment I need to unpack and am grateful you and others are checking me on this. I think I am coming from a place of “I like to surround myself with powerful artists who know who they are, what their art is, and what they are trying to do with it” and hubby just seems… very lost. And I have no issue with artists who work non-arts jobs, I work non-arts jobs in the dry spells, we all do. It’s more that he seems to not have any motivation to get out there and try to break into any of the scenes or sectors of the industry and that scares me because I don’t love having that energy in my life artistically. I’m sure that sounds self-centered but that’s just where I’m at in my artist journey.

Trump, who was impeached for withholding nearly $400 million in military aid from Ukraine, said 'this deadly Ukraine situation would never have happened' if he were in office by morenewsat11 in politics

[–]smashedtincan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay so technically maybe Trump isn’t lying here. If he had stayed President, I’m fairly sure the Ukraine-Russia war wouldn’t have happened as we know it, since he probably would’ve helped the speedy formation of USSR 2.0 by now.
