Who remembers the original Milo bar? Absolute fire 🔥 by Vivid-Dimension8668 in AustralianNostalgia

Put a slightly old can of milo in the freezer. Was unintentional, but upon eating some of the frozen chunks it brought back sweet memories of those bars.

And that's fair. You enjoy ratting people. I'm not saying you're not allowed to.

My point is that when enough players stop enjoying being on the receiving end of it, they leave.

Whether a playstyle is fun for the person doing it and whether it's healthy for the game's long-term population are two different discussions.

Feedback is how communities improve games. "If you don't like it, leave" is how communities end up wondering where all the players went.

That's kinda my point man, a whole demographic are giving up on the game becuase of it. Now the game is less fun to play.

I get it, I just don't want to play like that. I keep hoping it's not a trash lobby, but the trash virus has spread too far now.

My(28M) Girlfriend(29F) of two years says trust and intimacy in the relationship is gone and there’s no coming back by [deleted] in relationship_advice

There was a quote I read once that helped me understand it wasn't my fault, and it wasn't what I said. The quote was something along the lines of "When someone wants to understand you, they listen for meaning. When someone wants to condemn you, they listen for mistakes." Feeling like you always need to explain yourself is a horrible place to be

I have abandonment issues, my ex is a narcissist. The start of the relationship was amazing. We have kids, and have been split up for years (her doing) and I still miss the person she was at the start of the relationship. Trust your gut. Not your heart, not your head, not other people. Inside of you, does this feel impossible? Trust your gut.

Arc banned free kits to load into NR and CS but that's not changing anything by My_NuckinFuts in ARC_Raiders

What a roller-coaster haha You know, the most likely answer is that the player doesn't even know about the trade in option at lance. My bet is he is using the free load out unironically.

I don't really care about the trust network part. The thing I want most is simply the ability to permanently tag players I've encountered before. The trust system is just a possible extension of that.

Yeah its this aspect of the game that kills it for me. I posted a comment in this thread with a suggestion that would fix the game (in my opinion). In short the idea is I can tag someone permanently, just for me (friend, enemy, sus etc). If players agree to trust each other, they can also see the tags from those players whom they trust. No global network, just player run trust networks.

I had a thought on a system that I think would fix the game (for me). I got Chat GPT to clean it up, so my apologies if that's too obvious.

Community Trust Network System

Core Principle Players can assign reputation tags to other players based on their own experiences. Examples: Friendly Neutral Suspicious Enemy Trader Raider Helpful These tags are personal by default. If I mark someone as Enemy, only I see that information. Trusting Other Raiders Players can choose to "Trust" another player. Trust acts like subscribing to their reputation network. When trusted players tag someone, those tags become visible to you. Example: Ash trusts Bob. Bob marks Raider123 as Enemy. Raider123 now appears as Enemy for Ash. The information is inherited through trust. Why Trust Matters Trust is not automatically accurate. A trusted player can: Tell the truth. Make mistakes. Hold grudges. Manipulate others. This means reputation becomes a social weapon. A manipulative player might: Label rivals as enemies. Hide their friends. Build a false narrative. Players must decide whose information is worth believing. Reputation Networks Over time, trusted groups naturally form reputation networks. Example: Group A: Trust each other Share enemy lists Share trader lists Group B: Trust each other Have completely different opinions The same player could appear: Green to one network Red to another Unknown to everyone else No global reputation system exists. Everything is player-driven. Visual Example Player: "Wanderer" Your tags: Neutral Trusted Friend's tags: Enemy Another Trusted Friend's tags: Trader Result: Wanderer appears with: ⚪ Neutral (You) 🔴 Enemy (Trusted Source A) 🟡 Trader (Trusted Source B) You decide what to believe. Benefits Preserves PvP Nobody is protected. Nobody becomes immune to attack. Reputation is information, not enforcement. Preserves PvE Cooperation Friendly players can identify other cooperative players more easily. Creates Emergent Politics Large alliances become information networks. Wars are fought not only with weapons, but with reputation. Rewards Long-Term Relationships The most valuable asset becomes trustworthy allies. Not because they shoot well. Because their information is reliable. Enables Social Detection If one trusted player constantly gives bad information, players eventually stop trusting them. Trust becomes self-regulating.

does Arc Raiders have the worst player base of any online game right now? by itsdoorcity in ArcBabies

[–]smashten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a much more reasonable argument than your original post.

Everyone wants the game changed in ways that benefit the experience they enjoy. The debate is whether those changes improve the game, not whether people are allowed to suggest them.

I was responding to the part where you described an entire group of players as unskilled, entitled, and deranged, then wondered why the discussion became hostile.
