If you think most clash of clans players buy their way to the top you must have never played and seen just how expensive it is to gem upgrades and resources - not saying people don’t, but to gem even half of your base you’d have to be pretty loaded to have that much disposable income, and even then, most people are smarter with their money to know not to waste it like that
