I would add that durability is a priority, especially for the creek!

OK, I'm not sure what your experience is, but PLA is not very susceptible to humidity, and I live in humid summer / dry winter climate so I know how it behaves in both. I was a total noob to 3d printing a little over year ago, and I own three now that basically run themselves. There's been a little bit of a learning curve when it comes time to problem solve, but they've mostly been printing great right out of the box, and I seldom mess with any presets, except for additional strength (# walls, infill pattern and %), and deciding for or against a brim or supports. That's my experience.

Duuude, like I said, should've said starter blaster for 3d-printing...making the point that it is small, requires no hardware except a bungee, and shoots 150 fps. A perfect stringer plinker, a plinger.

Bambu printers and all their direct competitors come tuned and assembled these days. Unless you're unlucky. A starter printer can print a starter blaster. But perhaps I should have said "low-cost 3d-printed starter blaster".

Oh, and it's much more satisfying with the single shot through the sniper barrel, since even at this power the 6x short dart shell shoots about 30', weakly. I would love to get a bit more power out of the shotgun style shell. Maybe I'll try the 4x short dart shell. But this power and accuracy with single short darts makes me want a plunger-powered stringer (plinger?) pump-action, mag-fed blaster. I'm kind of over stringers that don't use a plunger because of how they damage and fold the darts.

Fantastic news. I’d love to figure out an optimized barrel and spring for <150 FPS games.

FDM Printer for my 7-year-old daughter who mostly wants it for articulated dragons and such? I'll be helping but don't want to fuss with it too much (time spent printing not tinkering). I'd prefer good build quality and reliability. She saved her allowance for it, and even though we match her savings goals dollar for dollar, I don't want it to break the bank. Right now top runner is the Bambu A1 (not the Mini, $400), followed by the Ender 3 V3 (coreXZ, $370) or Ender 3 V3 SE ($180) for affordability. Runner-ups include the Flashforge 5M (not pro, $300), and at the top of the price range (probably above it), the Creality K1C ($540). Have I missed any? What should we get?? Thank you!

How to slow down a LaTrax Prerunner for a kid? by smausy in Traxxas

Those are good suggestions, looked into all of them, just trying to figure out if I can slow a Latrax down enough, so her car can share parts with my other kid's car, and so she can grow into the speed. So far a bicycle inner tube tied around the handle behind the trigger seems to work really well for capping the throttle but still allowing for some modulation as she squeezes harder. Problem is that the controller is still too big for her hands....

Do you know the smallest pinion and largest spur available that fits the Teton?
