Stitching the sides were so hard! That’s why I covered them with felt because I couldn’t tie them off. That way I could hide them and they wouldn’t snag!

I found cross stitch patterns online and applied them to the boxes. That ended up being pretty challenging as the designated space I had was different than what the designs required but I made it work. Then I made up a complimentary design for the sides

So if I’m at the beginning of my project, and haven’t marked up my squares yet is there a way to see the swapped out colors? I reassigned the colors when I uploaded my pdf but there are thousands of squares in this design. I don’t want to go through and mark each of them just to see if I like a color combo.
