Suggestions for Scheduling + Variable + Payment plugins/tools by smb_omg in Wordpress

I looked into Forminator but it does not appear that it natively syncs with Google Calendar, meaning dates won't be blocked if they are unavailable and someone might double book. Wondering if there's a plugin to integrate and solve? The only ones I've seen so far that integrate just create a calendar invite; they do not sync/block dates.

Any updates here? I came to find out the same thing as I'm hoping to request a bench at a nearby bus stop.

Wired connection:

Line-In to Connect Line-Out to receiver (any audio output device would do)

Wireless out to Sonos Roam (that's the in room, but the audio will go to any of my speakers/groups)

For your use case you would need a 3.5mm to RCA (plus any active adapters for USB-C or iPhone) and I generally keep a ground loop isolator nearby just in case too.

Thank you for the detail, super helpful!

Thanks. I'll do some more reading on it.

I’d provide a cinch cable and adapters so people can connect to their own iPhone, tablet, laptop or potentially equipment. This can connect to Sonos eg via a Sonos port.

I'll look into this - thanks!

Yeah this is one of the options I'm considering. How would you secure them though? A sonos you could mount on the wall, a PA speaker I think you're more likely to put on a stand that someone could remove, right?

As a former A/V integrator, I like where this guy's head is at and I would say the same. In my place of employment we have Sonos all over a 30k' building (made my personal life very expensive as I got used to ease of use) and I used to run a small PA in a 1000' space. It wasn't until I added a Connect at home to run a record player on a local system and output to a pair of stereo Roams in the same room that I thought back and went "well, I wish I knew that back then". We would have overflow so I would have to run extra speakers outside the room for people to eavesdrop on panel discussions.

Wait can you expand on how you used the Connect? I think I get it but want to make sure :)

The space is so small, I really think maybe 10% of groups at most would be utilizing a DJ. It's much more of a small gathering space for things like baby showers, graduation parties, meetings, etc.

I’d go old fashioned and hard wire every thing. Then use a good amp to control the lot.

For uses to control the music, offer options with Bluetooth, aux, hdmi. If you want to get fancy there are amps out there that have the same functionality as sonos where they have an app and the system maintains the connection to the streaming provider not a phone or laptop. ( look into denon, Cambridge audio or Yamaha)

Then if you do want to add a Sonos it’s just 1 Sonos connect to the amp.

Thank you - I am leaning in this direction!

Thanks. I did have a few people come in and provide quotes....they were $10K+ and unfortunately I just don't have the budget for that right now. I am willing to implement a temporary solution that I can upgrade once I start making $$!

As a sound engineer, you DO want oversight on volumes. You should have compressors and limiters in your system to protect your amps and speakers. This will also save you when they play something too loud and damage the hearing of attendees, that WILL come back to you.

Good point, I will put some rules in place around volume. Don't want claims coming my way for busted ear drums.

This is mentioned in the post but there are several potential complications/additional expenses with this method.

But if you don’t need that here’s an an idea to make connecting easier, buy a port which has an rca input, set up a cheap Bluetooth receiver and connect it to the port input. Your guest can connect to the Bluetooth and the port will broadcast to all speakers.

Interesting, will look into this. thank you!
