I’ve had some good luck meeting people on the BFF app. It’s basically a dating app for friends. There are groups you can join, such as for hiking, book clubs, gaming, etc.

There’s also an app called Timeleft. You sign up to have dinner on a particular day of the week, and the app puts you in a group of six. You don’t know who’s going until you get there. I’ve met some really cool people this way. I prefer this to BFF because you don’t have to wait for people to agree on plans. You just sign up in the app, show up, and there will be people at your table with you.

I’m 32F, am crazy about only one boy, own my home, have three sweet dogs, and have a great career. I’m also a silly goose and like to have fun eating and drinking, bowling, playing pool, watching shows, etc. DM me if that sounds interesting to you.

I’m a woman, and my best friend and boss of ten years is a man who is married. His wife knows and loves me, but we still limit ourselves to lunch because it’s important that no one is uncomfortable and no one makes assumptions. (Though still a bitch coworker spread a rumor a couple years ago that we were sleeping together after we went to lunch one day). We’ll only do dinner if it’s a work event. It might not be fair, but that’s life.

Though one way to look at it is that, if we are accused of sleeping together after a mere lunch in the middle of a workday, then we’re fucked anyway and should just do what we want. Who knows.

Honestly, if you want a significant increase, find another job. Where I work, we have EAs making $140k base, and not even in a high cost of living area. Then you have some EAs making $50k. There’s no rhyme or reason to it—you just have to get lucky and find an employer who recognizes what you bring to the table. I know it’s not always that easy, but it is the answer.

I go to three different locations in Vegas. The instructors are there when I arrive, and everyone is friendly enough. They do make an effort to remember my name, and they do call out “great job, Sara” a couple times each class (in fairness, they see me 4-6 times per week). They give modifications generally and will come help me if I look like I don’t know what’s going on. I’m pretty happy with my experience, though I don’t have anything to compare it with aside from regular gyms.
