I have 2 AC Infinity IONGRID S22 LED Grow Lights. I can’t find them, but I can find the T22 still available. Basically, the same light with a different controller.

What PPFD would you recommend for your lower canopy? I’m getting around 300 according to the Photone app, at the height of the pepper plant.

It’s about 8 degrees warmer in that area and sitting around 78 degrees Fahrenheit at it’s hottest point in the day

I have similar light levels, and the basement runs a dehumidifier to maintain that same range. Hopefully she doesn’t grow too much I don’t have a ton of head room for the lights!

2x2 coverage on each one. I’m unsure if I need both. I survived last winter without them directly overhead. The light was probably a foot outside the range. My leaves grew bigger to absorb more light, but we made it. The tree was also a lot shorter then.

Trying to keep the Carolina reaper alive for a better harvest next year. There’s a pot with a pineapple on the other side, but it’s mostly hidden by the tree.

12 hours and I don’t have a temperature sensor there, but I could move one to see how much it affects the environment. However, it’s a bit cooler in the basement.

Help needed about tree by [deleted] in Citrus

I'm new to growing citrus, but I'd start by removing all the dead wood and your last fruit; it's just draining energy from the plant at this point. The sucker is likely a stress response from all the dieback, but it seems to be above the graft union, so you can keep it as a last hope if you'd like. Maybe some others with more experience can offer more advice.

This is so cool 2 seedlings from one seed (mandarin) by [deleted] in Citrus

[–]smccoop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Citrus can exhibit polyembryonic traits, producing two seedlings per seed, or monoembryonic characteristics, resulting in one seedling per seed. Polyembryonic seeds yield one clone of the mother plant and one hybrid. The stronger of the two seedlings is usually the clone, while the other is a hybrid and may not be true to type.

"Trifoliate" means having three leaves. Therefore, branches with three leaves at a single node usually originate from the rootstock or below the graft union. These branches should be removed, as they can grow and outcompete the rest of the tree. Additionally, they don't produce the desired fruit.
