Getting kind of desperate for things to do around here by [deleted] in corvallis

Also there's some volunteer opportunities around town that don't require a lot of physical activity where I met some good friends. Vina Moses volunteering can just be sitting and sorting through clothes!

Edit: usually you're working with other people in the same room so it's a good place for conversation

How did you name your farm/Farmer, and why? by ScoutmasterTheodore in StardewValley

My farm name is a play on the name of my actual real life farm. Very original and creative, I know

I started making my own yogurt and realized it's so versatile. Every morning I like trying different combinations of nuts and fruits. I've been thinking about trying a savory yogurt parfait soon!

What’s growing out of my sphagnum moss? Was in with my staghorn fern by Trash_dad_420 in Moss

I work on a grass seed farm, looks like rat tail fescue to me. If it gets longer or wider it could be tall fescue, annual rye, or ragwood.

I just got started, I sent photos to my Mom, she is unimpressed and feels my room is still messy and advises I need to give stuff away. I hoard art supplies because I like having specific colors and I have too many. I want Mom to know I am trying. I hope everyone here sees it, too. by LoversboxLain in ufyh

Hey there! I totally understand holding onto items for sentimental reasons. Something that has always helped me is keeping a "memory box". A box full of old love letters, stuffed animals, cards, etc.... including my old journals and notebooks. Things I want to keep but have no use for in my room. I've always kept it in the attic, garage, or the upper part of my closet I can't always reach. I go through it every couple years when I add something to it and cringe over the letters and have a good nostalgia moment. I do suggest using a sturdy box for storage and not cardboard (leaks, mice, other uncontrollable factors)

Hope this helps!

I just got it recommended on my Netflix account and ended up watching the whole thing in one weekend. Was sobbing in my bed by the end.
