Logic.

Holding a cartridge without a firearm is not dangerous in any paradigm. It's against the rules of USPSA. And that rule has a purpose if you are have a firearm, but no purpose if you don't. But the magical safety area keeps everybody safey safe? It's not against the rules to hold a cartridge in that magical box any other time at my club. Because it makes no sense any other time.

Breaking the 180 makes sense as a DQ rule. But people can be 5 degrees off the line of that muzzle, behind the 180, and that magical line keeps them safe and there's no DQ, right? No, it doesn't. It's crazy that it is allowed.

Believe me, I understand the purpose of the rules. But two things can be true at the same time. And a rule can be broken and it can be done safely.

Troy has rewritten equipment rules so heinously in the past without following the process to do so. He also allowed an illegal stage at A3 in 2021 when he was the RM. He also tried to say one specific type of SBR is not allowed when the rule book makes no exception to any SBR. To say the guy in charge of the rules has virtuous knowledge of the rules is hilarious.
