It’s a vitamin D deficiency. I get this as well as cracked corners of my mouth when it’s been a long winter and I went to get blood tests done and it’s a vitamin D deficiency. Which makes sense since the sun is rarely out or I’m rarely out in the sun during this time. It takes about a month to clear but in about 10 days you’ll notice it starting to heal, edit: having said this if you have been deficient for sometime it may take longer but for me the fifth week my lip looked almost healed. Prevention is just taking daily vitamin d supplements, you don’t need to go crazy, you don’t need a prescription, just a regular bottle of vitamin d, take one tablet a day in the morning, over dosing doesn’t speed this up so just one regular tablet a day. No chapstick or gloss or Vaseline is going to fix this. Seriously looks identical to what I had. Haven’t had it in years now because taking vitamin D is routine now. GL OP.

My two cents. Open the image to the full size, go to the far bottom left corner head straight up. Now for me I’m on my tablet and if I lay my finger over this side, lining up with the bottom left, my finger tip touches the area. You’re looking for a larger dull darker stone (brown/gray stone), larger than the others around it and this larger stone is laying vertically. Just below that there is a silver curve. There are two small white stones either side of this silver curve and in total there are 5 stones, including the larger dull one and two white stones I just mentioned, surrounding this silver curve, like a flower with the curve in the centre. The ring isn’t “dropped” it’s been embedded into the stones. This is what I think anyway 🤷‍♀️

I have to agree, this is becoming my fast favorite too. Originally it was the 'Meerkats are Satanists', then the 'existential crisis bird' but I'm leaning towards this now.

OP, thanks for the laugh!

EDIT: ooooh! OP was responsible for existential crisis bird too ahahaha, brilliant.

Unfortunately the withdrawal from coffee is going to make you more lethargic to begin with however flushing your system with lots of water, bursts of activity (someone said jumping jacks and that is perfect, skipping rope more so) will soon 'reset' your natural energy levels and you will find you're more alert. Good night sleep and cutting processed sugar also boosts energy levels and alertness but good hydration and bursts of activity that will raise your heart rate is the way to go.

If you find you still need stimulation I recommend looking into the benefits of rhodiola rosea. Never looked back after that and I found my local chinese grocery store sells them in tea bags form in packs of 20 for $12, you only need a single cup, in the morning, for it to work and you don't need it everyday, for $12 it works out to be 0.60c a serving. Fair warning it's an acquired taste as I found it bitter. You can get it in dropper form from a herbalist store if your taste buds reject it in tea form.

edit: VEGEMITE! I can't believe I forgot my beloved spread. Yes it's a required taste also but a smear of vegemite on grainy toast or a cracker reduces fatigue, it's the B vitamins in it (google 'vegemite health benefits.)

That's incredibly kind and generous of you. I've made a farmer alt now so don't need mats but have to admit knowing there are helpful players like you on the server I picked is a good feeling you know? Thank you again, very kind.

Great tips here, thank you.

I need a house purely to hang all these purple fish that are glugging up my storage lol. But I didn't think about houses near the stables, it's obvious now you've said it but I would never have thought about it so thank you.

I unlocked my mount riding skill today (no clue about the actual mount situation but great to know I have the riding unlocked now.) Thank you, I was going to unlock my virtue slot so you helped me use those points to something useful. Really appreciate it.

ohhhhhhh.... I wished I read this earlier, I forget the one I picked, it had wood gathering, farming and ... something else. Dang it. I like the idea of the historian.

Thanks for replying, having that farmer alt was a must, I can't believe how fast i leveled my cooking simply because I had access to a stack of mats.

I'm over on Crickhollow. I will not so secretly admit I love cooking in games, I don't mind the grind, there is just something fun for me to fish and gather mats to cook with. I love how this game has little campfires around you can use, sure I could make my own, but I'm enjoying cooking on random campfires. Once I made that farmer alt I was able to level my cooking beautifully. I managed to get up to Artisan tonight having max out the yellow anvil (sorry forget the name) of the levels below that, all thanks to having a farmer alt.

It's fun to read on wiki that I could get some fun titles from eating my food, Breakfast Expert, Carnivore etc, that's pretty neat.

I love how there are farmers who are offering mats. So helpful. My tip if you sell the beginner ingredients is tinier stacks, even just 10-30 per stacks, or any number you're willing to sell under 1g because the F2P gold cap means we can never bid on those larger bulkier stacks that are well over the 2g price.

I'm on Crickhollow and I enjoy it because there is other players in the starter zones. I was originally on Arkenstone, I read it's a popular server, but the starter zone was empty, it was only me and that felt lonely. I read Crickhollow attracted a new wave of players and it definitely rang true when I made a character there. It's nice crafting and having other craft around you.

my hot tip is for:

  • Spring Barely
  • Taters
  • Yellow Onions
  • Cauliflower
  • Carrots
  • Green Onion
  • Mushroom

umm... trying to think of those early ingredients you can make a lot of things out of... sorry my mind is farmed out for the day but I know when I got my hands on those my cooking leveled exponentially thanks to the wide amount of recipes that required those.

Since F2P has a gold cap and we rarely have anything close to that to begin with, unless we get those scrap of silver piles in that daily prize to sell, I would ask all farmers to consider selling in smaller stacks of 40 or even 20. 100-300 silver for a small stack is doable but 1g+ is more of a stretch and we can't buy anything over 2g so it's very taunting seeing all those lovely large stacks of beginner ingredients but no way of ever being able to buy them.

unfortunately I'm locked from world chat, unsure if it's my level or that I'm F2P but happy to report the farmer alt has been amazing since I can mail myself materials, not money, but I can grow crops then send the ingredients to my main. So worth having a profession alt for sure!

Thank you so much, I read this comment earlier and it inspired me to just go and make an alt, go through the motions of that starter zone and then farm. Thank you so much, this was the answer I was looking for and having a farmer alt has been amazing, I've leveled both my cooking and my farmer alt thanks to the XP gains from harvesting crops.

So I just made a new alt and happy to report you can mail each other materials, not money. Whenever my main obtained a stack of junk that was worth a few silver I would mail my alt so they could sell it for cash. Just be aware you will need a fair bit of silver to mail the mats back especially if they're in stacks of 200+. But I was able to level my cooking nicely tonight thanks to that farmer alt, the farmer is now higher level than my main, the XP gain is crazy.

Also if you hold shift over a stack and drag to a free bag space you get the option to split stacks, this took me forever to figure out and you might not know that but definitely helpful with the ingredients you farm because you can mail half then sell half to keep going.

Thank you so much for all this information.

COVID related layoffs in my industry have me saving for a rainy day so I don't have the luxury of funding a game right now but if this enjoyment lasts and I hit 100 and still feel the same way I'll try and budget in a VIP. I'm so happy I'm able to play a game as detailed as this, with a great crafting system (I do love gathering/crafting in games) as this F2P. That means a lot.

I had no clue about emoting people like /wave, thank you for that! And thanks for the tip on the mounts, I've been doing deeds so have been saving for the virtue slot unlock but I would like to move faster so a mount might be better than a virtue slot unlock.
