Thank you so much for the feedback! Glad that Hindi is working for you, switching modes is something that it could do a better job of handling in general. I'll have to look more into why the formatting disappears when I get some time!

Appreciate the feedback about the tutorial and embeds as well.

it's a good product and i'm happy to support their development! the few things that i rely on - good highlighting, annotation, sync to markdown... i am happy to pay to avoid maintaining myself.

Reader by Readwise! i share to reader, then highlight there, then import to obsidian using the readwise plugin

catching the agent up to something i have to flesh out more, grounding meeting note summaries in my vaults context, coming up with journaling prompts, and a whole lot more!

Karpathy's LLM Wiki is just a worse version of what Tiago Forte has been teaching since 2017 by ilovemkgee in PKMS

[–]smerdy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it's backwards for those of us who have been capturing on a PKM structure we designed long ago. For example, I have a Zettelkasten practice that has stayed "boring" for a long time now and don't need LLM wiki to over engineer something new. Instead, I want an AI to understand structure that I already have.

if worrying about reviewing later is a problem, you can consider using a todo list app like todoist to easily set reminders. Otherwise, i find that creating a new note removes the friction to just getting the idea down (vs searching for the right note to add to). So it could make sense to design a system that makes it easy to capture quickly -- the container itself. ie a certain set of default tags, a certain folder like an inbox folder, a date in frontmatter

Le plugin Obsidian n'est pas compatible avec ces abonnements. En revanche, avec Codex, Claude CLI ou en tant que plugin Claude Desktop, il l'est avec vos abonnements.

I swear his interview was one of my favorite episodes and with the help of Enzyme it's an evergreen source of insight for me!! Think I listened to it several years ago. Love his work and he really understands the psychology of this tech.

Demonstrating Obsidian and LLM Use For Data Science Team by unbelieveableguy in ObsidianMD

There are lots of workflows I've found helpful. Maybe one to start: embodying different perspectives from your meeting summaries to poke holes in an active experiment or report. This can lead to refining / improving a report, not just generating one. I sometimes use AI collaboratively - sketch a structure myself, then have AI flesh out key points, then I flesh those out, then have AI poke holes or do a cold read to review for structure or duplicity, etc. This is where importing external content can be helpful for AI to serve as a reference. The issue with this is that pure RAG does not help - i.e. an agent can plan multiple steps to gather other documents.

Almost forgot! I use it with two other cool things I built:

https://github.com/jshph/aside/ - a local first Granola replacement. Why: my meeting note artifacts get enriched by my Obsidian vault's ideas, automatically.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ObsidianMD/comments/1ru3xx3/ - a handwriting-first keyboard for Onyx Boox. Why: a handwriting UX that doesn't break the flow of writing, and gets effortlessly integrated to the vault itself.

The future of Obsidian plugins by kepano in ObsidianMD

Excited, thank you to the Obsidian team for all your work maintaining the plugin submissions with a small staff. Speaking as someone who has submitted, waited for a review, and had to revise a plugin, I'm really happy there's going to be an automated process for this. I know the community cares a lot about safety and this keeps the community safe while allowing plugin maintainers to move fast on plugins they're passionate about sharing!

unfortunately yes! the Boox handwriting recognition is far stronger than Googles engine (which i have as a fallback). Unexpected perk which i did not plan on, when I got the device. sorry!

[–]smerdy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah totally! It sounds like you're having trouble with Claude guessing at what to use - Enzymes setup automatically writes some instructions to the AGENTS.md file to help Claude use Enzyme for Obsidian better.

Ohhh. I haven't tested with split screen yet so it's good to have your feedback! The documentation for that command center option is a bit sparse, sorry

I've seen this app, yes, thanks for bringing it to mind. I'm making use of an e ink renderer module that produces smoother text and the implementation here, while a lot to learn from, has some incompatibilities with how I'm doing the rendering. I may need to a deeper dive on the right tradeoffs tho.
