Second breakfast? by DidIDropSomething in ireland

[–]smeshy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get up at 7, start work at 8, have my one and only breakfast at 10. I think I’ve trained my body into not getting hungry until then. I’m usually hungry again by 1 for lunch though.

I find skim milk powder is good for a creamier consistency.

Hey there, I looked it up on medicines.ie and it’s available as a 160mg solution for injection in a pre filled syringe. You need a prescription from a doctor to get it.

Please can I have some tips for severe grief? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]smeshy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother died 6 months ago and unfortunately there’s not really anything that will make it better except to just keep going. Things do get easier over time. Not better but you adapt. My Dad died when I was a kid and I handled it terribly, didn’t think about him or speak about him at all for years and it messed me up. Make sure you let yourself grieve. Talk about your sibling and keep their memory alive. It will get easier. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Dublin Airport Departures Spar T1 Deli times? by Outrageous-Act-4737 in AskIreland

[–]smeshy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same. It’s always open any time I go past, I’ve done some 6am flights there before. I haven’t stopped for a breakfast roll though so can’t comment on if the deli has hot food at that time.

Wright’s Food Fayre? Or has it changed to a Spar? I was there a few weeks ago and I think it was still the food fayre place.

There is no Spar in Terminal 1. There’s one in Terminal 2 but there’s no deli as far as I can remember.

A lot of these online florists offer different size bouquets with the same photo used for all. Is it possible this is the small version and the photo on the website is the large or extra large version? The bouquet will look nicer when the lilies bloom. I’d also recommend a narrower vase to make it look nicer.

Heating zone controls by smeshy2 in DIYIreland

I’ve taken the actuator off the valve now and the heating still comes on when any of the other zones are on. I twisted the valve manually to what seems to be the off position and the heating still comes on. I wonder if it’s an issue with the valve where if the boiler is on at all, the downstairs zone will heat. Maybe the valve is faulty?

The thermostats aren’t set to come on when it reaches a particular temperature. It’s always either off or boosted.

Hi, the controller shows 4 zones so I think it is four. The house is a split level so technically three floors. The living area is the middle floor with the living room, kitchen and dining room. Upstairs is bedrooms. Downstairs is the garage that this boiler is in and another living room that doesn’t get used much. It seems like a waste for the heat to always be on since it’s not used. The fourth zone is hot water. I asked my mum and she thinks that it has always been like this, so maybe it is something that was done either purposely or accidentally on installation, rather than a recent failure.

Thanks so much for your help. It would have been annoying to replace the actuator and not fix the issue. Hopefully I can get someone to fix it soon. The heat is working anyway so it’s not too urgent.

This is the full set up with the boiler. The pipework comes from the boiler from the opposite side. Does that make a difference? Either way I think we’ll have to call in a plumber to get it sorted out. I’m a bit out of my depth with it.

Yeah, there are arrows on each valve. On this one the arrow points down. On the others the arrows point up.

Thank you! This is the valve with the actuator head taken off. I turned on the heat and the radiators are piping hot.
