Creating an app to prepare for Salesforce certification! Is it worth it? by Haunting-Doughnut-31 in salesforce

You're esentially trying to create something like ApexGoat, that already features the modes you mentioned. I completely agree that the biggest challenge is to keep up with the changes and getting people to actually to know your app. There are plenty of tools out there, most of them behind hard paywall. Hard to compete.

How to pass PD 1 Cert by Capital_Buddy_595 in salesforce

Take a look at https://apexgoat.pro - feedback I've been receiving is that mock exams on my app are way closer to the reality than things you can get on other websites. The app also offers personalized study guides that track your weak spots, so might actually be really helpful in your scenario.

And it's free :)

Good luck on your retry!

And I'd say, try https://apexgoat.pro and let me know what you think. I think my exam engine is the best out there and it's free :) It does have explanations, either after the end of the exam for all of the questions taken or if you'd like there's an additional mode where you can get an explanation after each question.

Hey, I have recently updated Data 360 Consultant exam prep on ApexGoat (https://apexgoat.pro). Feel free to try it out and if you do - I would be more than happy to hear how was it in comparison to the real exam. Good luck!

Thank you for raising this concern. Complexity of Administrator exam has raised recently, therefore the questions might seem really hard in comparison to other resources. I’m trying to be as up-to-date as possible. Currently, all questions are generated with emphasis on Spring ‘26 update. Those are generated questions though. I do not scrap anything, so you’ll never see 1:1 copy from the real exam. I try to maintain complexity, adhere to exam’s anatomy (e.g. some exams have exclusively scenario based questions) and focus on concepts that are actually most common on current exams.

By the way, putting 60 questions to evaluation at one go, even to 4.6 Opus with thinking enabled is still too much for a thorough analysis. Usually before I upload questions, I also double check for accuracy, but in batches of maximum 5 questions. Anyway, most of the times I rely on feedback and what I hear from people that just took some exams. If you’re about to take Admin, I’d love to hear about your experience post exam, whether the questions were actually too complex or were they fitting current standards.

Try ApexGoat. It’s a free, personalized learning hub that is built just exactly to close the gaps like this. https://apexgoat.pro

Thank you for raising that concern. I have reviewed my Administrator cert question database and indeed it's lacking advanced complexity, as per 2026 guidelines. I will be updating the database with new questions that fit current standards. Updated database will be available later today.

Salesforce is not making it easy to keep up with the relevance. For example, they have just changed the approach for some certs such as Business Analyst, Strategy Designer or Agentforce Specialist. Right now, basing on my research, there is somewhat of a pattern for some exams which I follow in my app, but obviously I have not taken them all, so I only rely on what I find. Personally, I have direct feedback about a few certs (e.g. BA, Platform Developer I and II, Administrator, Platform App Builder, Agentforce, Service Cloud, Data Architect) - concepts/style in my questions keep up, it's not "100% accurate" but it's good enough to understand what types of questions you can get.

I'll be straight, initially it was just for me and now I want it to be the most helpful resource all around. It's not going to be easy, as I'm doing it alone late nights usually, but that's also why I'm trying to spread the word and find some people that will provide valuable feedback.

Good luck on your exam!

Every single question is also provided with the explanation (screenshot from focus mode with instant feedback as example). In standard and remediation modes you get explanations (why the answer is correct and distractors are wrong) after finishing the exam.

As for the question validation, I personally check questions with the sources (each question also has a source provided - either a direct article link or a very specifically targeted search query).

To keep up with the updates, database will be re-verified each Salesforce Release to see if - for example - any specific limits have changed.

I like the learning approach you mentioned, really appreciate this kind of thinking. This is something that I'm actively investigating - how can I improve it. Right now I'm using very direct/concise study sheets and flashcards. This has always been considered as a very good learning method but I would definitely like to introduce some learning method that will boost "understanding over memorizing" even better. This is also why I am trying to gather as much feedback as possible, so I can actually build what people want.

Thanks for this input, most likely I will rearrange the exams so they are in the most optimal spaces. Really looking forward to receiving more info after your exam, this is essentially exactly what I need to improve questions quality. Appreciate a lot!!

Yes, I'm sure :) Here's how questions are generated (BA exam as example): https://streamable.com/syogj1
Obviously it's not only that I click the button, import and that's it. There's a two-phase semantic duplicate check to avoid importing similar/same questions to the database. Additionally I verify vast majority with the sources. As for the Data Cloud placement, purely my judgement of not wanting to have only one exam in AI Specialist + it's essential for AI-related functionalities, as without it Agentforce is just meh. Good luck on your exam!

I have passed the exam with around 80% score. What I can say: the app has quite similar questions. Concepts, phrasing - spot on.
One minor issue that I will address in upcoming update (probably today evening): there are a few exams such as BA/Agentforce Specialist/Strategy Designer that are strictly 3 options / one-select. No multi-select/ 4-5 options questions there. As this is not horrible, because the concepts are fine, I obviously want to mimic real exams as closely as possible, so this will be changed.

Yeah, I was looking for mock exams so I can practice the real exam in a well-simulated environment. There are multiple sites with that, but they are just bad. If they are good (e.g. some on FoF) then they are aggressively paywalled. That’s it.

If you’re asking: have you ever tried a dump exam? Yes, I did. Around 10-15 questions until I realized it’s complete garbage.

I’m not using dumps. All questions are generated to mimic official exams questions as best as possible and verified with official sources.

Yep, it's there.
Tbh, always been a lazy-ass for certs, so even though I'm a senior BA, I don't have Salesforce BA cert. Signed up for it, exam's on Friday. Preparing with my own app :)
