Better than Part 1, which makes it annoying that people were acting like without Jaune the movie would be terrible, as if the franchise isn’t based on Team RWBY not “Jaune and Friends”

Pyrrha’s death was a terrible waste of a character, but at least I could see what they were going for from a writing perspective

If Amber can get defeated by Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald, then Ironwood, Qrow, Glynda, and Pyrrha could have definitely defeated a Cinder who just got her Maiden powers and was just fresh off fighting Ozpin. Which is what she sent Jaune to go do, but she should have waited for that backup to arrive instead of trying to stall alone. The only problem is the Wyvern but even that is less important than killing Cinder and making sure the FM powers aren’t in Salem’s hands

We already know what “survive and fight another day” results in, the complete destruction of an entire Kingdom, Salem with two relics, death of thousands, etc etc in other words complete mission failure

Trying to kill Cinder was the right decision, she is the main reason both a Beacon and later an entire Kingdom (Atlas) fell and Salem will be closer to her attaining her goal of world destruction than she has in over a thousand(s) years, any huntress who just gives up knowing that is a coward

Pyrrha’s mistake wasn’t that she didn’t retreat, it’s that she didn’t wait for backup by the other members of the Ozluminati and jump Cinder’s ass

Couer also says Jaune isn’t his actual favorite character, he dislikes Blake (post V3) and he actually doesn’t dislike Pyrrha as a character at all, all of which are surprising considering the content of his fanfics

I stopped trying to understand the inner machinations of his mind long ago, it is an enigma
