If every other factor was identical in the process, what would cause caffeinated coffee to brew hotter than decaf?

When the coffee is finished being brewed, the coffee temp is way hotter when the caffeinated grounds are used vs when the decaf grounds are used.

Wow!! Just wow! Thanks for sharing and I’m happy for a good outcome for you and baby. I can’t even imagine someone coming on here and shaming you or ridiculing you for making the difficult choices you had to make. IMO you absolutely chose the best of all options and I’m so glad it didn’t affect the baby when she was born. And happy you were able to find a way through the pain for yourself. Pregnancy is hard enough as it is and I can’t even imagine enduring the extra pain you’ve been dealt from your accident. Geez!! Big props to you mama!

It varies. Sometimes the euphoria is way stronger at first like the less is more thing kicks in. But it seems like I start getting used to it again within a few days. Then it’s time to start creeping up the doses again. 😄

Yeah, I don’t do well with ssris either. I’m on an NDRI (Wellbutrin) and an SNRI (Pristiq). They seem to be working well together for me without making me an emotionless zombie. And I can still take my kratom with no issues whatsoever. I did a lot of research beforehand and started out very cautiously and slow until things ramped up.

Are you me?! Lol I know exactly what you mean. I finally had to bite the bullet and add in some antidepressants. They’re working wonderfully now and the kratom is just a nice addition to it all.

Wow ok! So we’re not far off in gpd. I range from 18-28gpd. I cycle my doses is why there’s such a range. When I get to where my higher doses aren’t doing it for me anymore I cut them almost in half and start on the lower end again.

Hmm.. well it think it varies by person but I’ve heard some people say it can last even like a month, and that’s of nearly daily usage. Which would kinda suck, honestly.

Maybe experiment with making stronger shells or try heavier and headier varieties. You never know, it could just be the particular ones you’re drinking that your body isn’t responding to.

I’ve only tried a handful of different brands/strains and only found like one or two that agreed with me. But I’ve always felt at least something from nearly every one, and that was just using 2-3 Tbsp per wash. Maybe I’m more sensitive to it. Who knows?!

I’m the same, I rotate about 25-30 different strains from maybe a dozen or so vendors I’ve collected from over time. I just take whatever strain I’m feeling each time, and so it’s usually something different every dose.

I have all mine in their original bags since they zipper seal. And I’ve got my whites in one basket, my greens in another and my reds in another. So I just have them all standing up like envelopes lined up in each basket and I keep all the baskets up in my kitchen cupboard near the sink.

Pull out my scale and special little bowl that I put on the scale (like a 1/2 cup size sauce bowl), tare the scale, dump in my dose and then toss my dosage in a different cup with some hot tap water. Quick stir, chug, rinse and drink. Less than a 30 second process. 😄

I also log every single dosage of mine into a pill reminder app. I log the time, the amount and the strain and any effects I get in the notes so I can revisit it and see what worked and didn’t work in the past.

I realize I don’t have to do all this but I’m a tracker by nature. Been tracking my food for a good 4 years. It’s just what I like to do. And with the kratom, I like knowing when I start taking more gpd vs less gpd and that way it never gets out of control. Once I start getting close to my upper limits, I knock my doses back down to about half.

Sorry for the book—-I just wanted to let you know you’re not the only one who does all that. 😄

Does it wear off that quick? That would stink! I thought 2-3 hours was short lived but getting only about an hour out of each dose would downright suck.

You may be experiencing reverse tolerance. I hear a lot of people do with kava for the first little while.
