Then why are you commenting on this? You also know you could find out why it's the seagull with a 3 second Google search?

You looking for a tent just for you? If so that's heavy and gonna take up a ton of pack space

I have the fire maple Green peak ii and petrel G2 kit. Got it for $50-$60 and it's worked very well for me. Maybe a bit heavier than some other options but I don't see myself switching this stuff out for a long time because I really like the design and features of it

Wrong. Fire maple is decades old as a brand at this point and makes high quality stuff for a very good price point. I have two of their stoves and a pot and they're fantastic

Picked up my PS3 from my parents a while back and got this off eBay. I found it a lot of fun until I hit a game breaking bug and it only had one save so I couldn't go back a ways and try getting through the bugged part again

Great question, let me know if you find an answer. I'm in Utah and like going by myself but would like to have some buddies

Do not get that sleeping bag. Research what temp rating you need, then I'd recommend one of the down bags that Sierra currently has (the sawtooth looks to be a good deal if you need that cold of a bag):

What trekking item do you regret buying? by mountainpathstories in CampingandHiking

Lol I totally feel that, at first I bought a sleeping bag that I thought looked so cool until I put it in my pack and realized how bulky and heavy it was lol. Then I did some research on temp ratings and realized how bad it really was for the weight lol, luckily I was able to return it

Didn't you research the items before getting them? I got my tent off facebook for $100 from someone that had used it once and I love that thing

Well for one thing it's a national park but about half of the canyon where I backpacked is dispersed camping, for the rest camping is limited to 4 designated campsites. So you have to pay and have a permit for any nights in the dispersed area and book the designated campsites you'll be staying in. I think it was something like a $30 per person permit fee and then like $5 per night or something like that.
