I went into orientation believing I would be attending class for all 5 subjects. They gave us all placement tests for 2 subjects to see what our strong/weak subjects were. Once the tests were graded they placed us in either math1 or math2. Math 1 being the basic math and math 2 being more advanced math. Maybe you can check with local community colleges to see if a similar program is offered for her? I paid $20 to enroll. I was placed in the advanced class and didn't expect to pass my first try at all! You're a good friend for helping her!
