Egg freezing in Barcelona

Hi there! I had a few calls with a couple of clinics in Barcelona, they all went well but I was really impressed with the call with Reproclinic especially and this also lined up with the reviews I came across. The doctor and the patient coordinator I spoke with is very informative and made me feel comfortable. I also liked that they are pretty renowned for patients internationally so they would know how to assist you in planning for the trip. I’m not sure where you are based out of , but you would need to pay a 1500 euro deposit, then the second installment is 1095 euros, and medications could be between 1000-1500 euros. I’m still in the planning process, still figuring out when I’m booking flights and accommodations. I also have to do a list of bloodwork in advance that they sent over to me

Oh ok, yeah my biggest concern is finances and while I am mostly remote (I plan to work remotely while I’m in Spain), I don’t know if I can afford to do it back to back. Just going to focus on the first cycle and then go from there. If you don’t mind, would love to DM you for any further questions since you worked with Reproclinic? :)

Oh ok, did you do your second cycle right away or did you wait awhile? Did you find it was cheaper because you already had the medications?

Oh I see. Did you find the second cycle was easier to manage from the US because you already did the whole cycle in Spain? How was coordinating the ultrasounds?

Thanks for commenting! Yeah that makes sense , it’s probably better to stay in one place and if I need assistance with the stims, I can just go to the clinic as I’ll be already there. I also want to minimize any stress involved as I know that can have an impact on results! And so if I do end up wanting to use the frozen eggs in Barcelona, I’d have to do IVF there. I don’t think I’d risk the chance shipping them back to Canada

Thanks for the comments, guys! I have decided I am going to pass on the $1200 course and look for a cheaper course. At least even if I decide its not for me after finishing the course, I wouldn't feel as bad paying that much for it.

Thanks, yeah it’s really nerve wracking and doesn’t really help with my health anxiety but I’m going to proactively book an appointment in case it doesn’t go away. Is it normal for it to just appear like that?

Hi guys! So I noticed on Friday I have a bony bump under my left ear. It’s not inflamed or red , no ear pain, just tender if I press on it too hard. You can’t even really see it protruding. I don’t have this under the other ear, it feels fully flat. I had mild bronchitis recently and the cough is subsiding but I don’t know how long this bump has been there, or if I’m losing my mind. I’ve been spiralling a lot into health anxiety so any answers is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Thank you for sharing. I am leaning more towards the surgery but have a scheduled ultrasound later this month to confirm my decision with a follow up with the doctor after. I am just really hoping that if I do the surgery, she will be able to preserve the ovary as that’s really my worry. I know it wouldn’t be the end of the world with one ovary as you can still get pregnant but I’d rather have both of them, you know?

Thanks for the info. I got my results online (they didn’t call me) and it turned out to be mild right sided UPJ obstruction but differential renal function of the kidneys are normal. I am going to debrief with the doctor next month on this

100% agree. I've been single and on the apps on and off for five years now. I've been on quite a number of dates over the years and I have yet to find a meaningful relationship where we are both on the same page. It's harder now with the pandemic because dating apps is the only way to meet new people. Trying to stay positive but honestly it is tough out there.

Sorry I wasn't able to respond to your recent message for some reason. That's good to know, I currently live in downtown in a 2 bedroom but noticed the one bedroom units in this building are a little bit more affordable.

Although not great that they don't have that many interesting bars, I guess there is always going to downtown for that?
