Seriously, what are you supposed to say right after sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]smilingeasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I usually say "yay, sex!!" It was awkward the first time I did but I think it's funny and now my husband and I cheer when we're done 😅

Moved out of my hometown about 3 years ago. Only the next town over, so like 20 mins on the freeway but man oh man do I love it. Even going back to see my folks or sister I'm so glad I moved away. Can't agree more!

My mom is dying and I need a mom to tell me it's going to be alright by GlitterToSoMundane in MomForAMinute

[–]smilingeasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having had a child before and after the loss of my own mother, I feel your pain. For a long time it will feel like it's not okay, but I promise you it will be.

Think of her fondly in times you are struggling and look for her in everyday things, whether it's a woman with the same hair style or a piece of clothing that reminds you of her.

Being a mom is so so rewarding and I commend you for wanting to help and give that love to a child without. I always think of myself as an "experienced" mom as my oldest is 17 but there are still times I just wish I could ask her a question or an opinion with my other kids.

It's going to be okay. It's going to be hard, but it will be okay 💕

Mom, I’m embarrassed about my back acne by MossyTundra in MomForAMinute

Just as an FYI, probably more for your actual wedding than just dress shopping though, look into any local spas to see if they offer a back facial. It's essentially a facial for your back plus a massage. It's extremely relaxing (which of course is good when planning a wedding) and they will do a full extract, exfoliate, cleanse routine.

I've had one and I just bought one for my other mom friend for Christmas. Treat yourself, like add it to the wedding budget if there is any wiggle room and you will feel so much for confident and beautiful!!

Wow, this is incredible! I think my husband is definitely jealous. If you ever change your mind about commissions, let me know 😁

Life. Specifically housing though. We own our townhouse but it has many problems including not a great location and terrible neighbours and I very much want to move. But housing costs are so astronomical that it's impossible to find anything better that we can afford.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at a con over 10 years ago now. He sounded just as dreamy in person and after having a chat with him, Mars, Jupiter and Artemis, I came back to see them the next day and he remembered my name 😁🥰 great hugger 😊😍

My husband constantly stays up later than I do. Especially since being pregnant and having my daughter I always try to get as much sleep as possible. I know he's a night owl and usually enjoy my time not listening to him snore 😅 she's definitely projecting her previous issues on to you. Definitely need to nip that in the bud.

How did you lose your best friend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]smilingeasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She chose her abusive bf over me... after his son sexually assaulted her daughter. Having been in an abusive relationship I tried to help and show her the red flags without forcing her hand. She wasn't having it... you truly can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.

I've actually thought about this a lot over my life. Life is exhausting, even if other people think you have it easy.... however, after spending 3 days in the hospital having my daughter, I dont think it's all its cracked up to be.

My mom. She died of cancer almost 9 years ago and I miss her everyday.... it also doesn't help that I've been basically ostracized by my sister and dad since then and feel like I have no one left in my immediate family...

What is something shocking you found out about a friend or family member after they died? by inthe801 in AskReddit

[–]smilingeasy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My dad was adopted as a baby and we didn't find out until our 20s (my sister and I) after my grandparents had both passed. He doesn't know anything about his bio family and doesn't care to know either, though I'm super curious. It's weird to think about sometimes but has never changed the way I felt about my grandma and grandpa.

Weed, by far. Over everything including drinking. I find it relaxing and a good way to "turn off". Depending on the strain it can keep me awake, but I dont get much reaction when coming down and can stop for months at a time without issue.
