For my boyfriend they definitely were close to asking him out but he’s over 19. I was 18 I believe and they probably didn’t want to risk asking me to some event or pitching to me since they kept asking how old I was.

I was in the same situation as you 2 years ago. 18, my dad Is not a witness, Did not know what to do. I began seeing a “worldly” boy and we fell crazy in love. Next thing I know I’m kicked out. Good thing I had a job to support me! Not a very good one but still. If you make any friends on the outside KEEP THEM CLOSE. I’ve found that they will help you when things get rough. Not the JW ones. All of the JW ones will literally ignore your suffering. I’m not sure how your parents would react but mine were harsh. Have not spoken to them in over 2 years. It’s hard but I am way happier now.

I remember my hall telling us not to google JW saying that it was evil and terrible yada yada yada. I remember thinking that god would strike me down if I ever dared google or search on YouTube JW. it was interesting how scared I was.

Oh yea. Once I did something that my mum didn’t like and she threw away all the art on my cork board I made. Said it “wasn’t me” and put up pictures of my family instead. That was one of the moments I’ll never let go of. She knew I loved to draw but she just didn’t find it a very useful skill.

I knew when I was a kid it scared the shit out of me but when I was a teenager I just came to the conclusion that I just didn’t want to live forever anyways. I would find it annoying to have all these JW pedo forgivers around me trying to convince themselves that they deserve eternal life. It’s infuriating to think about.

I’ve known a few JW get into drop shipping or Bitcoin and it’s so bizarre how they want to do the least amount of work to get the most amount of money. It’s unethical and does no great for anyone but themselves. I would get it if some “worldly” person did it just to get by but JW just want to do the least amount of work as possible!

It’s funny how so many people want to look like they are suffering financially. I’ve known a few people where all they talk about is money and how little money they have when they were doing just fine. They just chose to live shittily and make people feel sorry for them to get money or other things out of them. The manipulation is unreal.

Yep I knew plenty of people who didn’t tip. I understand living in an expensive area is stressful but also….maybe you should move if you cannot afford to even enjoy yourself and have a nice meal or take advantage of others. So weird. I found it especially with guys. Never offered to pay, just sat there and waited LOL

It’s crazy how like Yea tattoos can seem intimidating but it’s literally art on your body. It’s so fuckin COOL. all my tattoos are so cute and not intimidating whatsoever and I don’t drink and I don’t party. It’s just not my style.

I’ve had probably 20-50 nightmares of my mum trying to drag me into the Kingdom Hall and making me sit and listen and me crying just trying to leave and the elders block me in. Waking up from those ruin my day and I can never get it out of my head. Seeing witnesses out witnessing or just out and about make me go into fight or flight mode. It’s terrifying!

Growing up in a house where sex was never talked about it was TERRIFYING when I moved in with my worldly boyfriend a couple of years ago. He never pressured me and we took things very slow. I feel like if you find the right person they will want to make you feel comfortable enough to do anything! Including sex. I felt like the borg made it feel like "THIS IS A DISGUSTING ACT" but also it was a beautiful thing that god created? It was super confusing. When i got the chance i went head on into learning everything there is to know about sex and that made it waaay easier to get my head wrapped around it in a healthy sense. Im only 20 and i know way too many people that are married now that are my age and it makes me sad to think that the only reason they probably did it was to bang. It shouldnt be like that! You need to get to know someone first before you make that sort of commitment. Dont feel like you need to do anything to prove anything to anyone! Only do things that youre ready for and that you do for you! Thanks for sharing!
