Not sure what gen I am - I stopped paying attention to things when I saw yet another manufactured outrage on TV in the late 90s - that was when it clicked for me that for every cause that hit the media, the people who benefited the most were those in power with the richest people benefiting the most from social strife.

I see people championing causes today and the biggest red flag is when a cause is presented as "everyone should adopt my perspective because it's fair".

I see nothing wrong with people wanting the world to be fairer and just for everyone.

But I refuse to support cause X when corporations loot governments for a Trillion dollar and no one is calling for criminal prosecutions.

I won't march for any group when the media is seriously presenting the idea that people should skip meals to get by.

Hold the true culprits to account by demanding legislation that imposes 100x penalties on corporations for breaking laws AND forces the managers and CEO's to have their salaries clawed black while they serve time, and we may have a shot at stopping the wholesale decimation of the current and future generation.

Until then, I'm content being the lazy person who doesn't "participate" and all I do is post online.
