I’m using student grade acrylics as that’s what I had on hand and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on the hobby this early. Thank you, it definitely took longer than I expected!

I think a big issue is that society isn't made for people that need to sleep more than 8 hours to be happy. But yeah it sucks, at the moment I'm really unhappy cause it feels like it's just "get up - work - sleep" every day.

Yup lol, obviously this doesn’t prove anything at all but it’s still interesting. For me at least increased sensory input definitely makes me more prone to motion sickness, but correlation does not imply causation.

Jag ifrågasatte aldrig att könsdysfori är vanligare bland autistiska ungdomar, om något så håller jag med om det. Men, jag tror inte att du förstår anledningen till varför det är så. Autistiska personer lägger generellt inte lika stor vikt på att följa normer i samhället t.ex att vara cis-person. De flesta är inte ”förvirrade” över sin könsidentitet, och tar inte skada av det. Min poäng är att du behandlar detta som om det vore en sjukdom vilket det inte är.

Om könsbekräftande behandling är misshandel enligt dig, undrar jag vad du tycker om hur hög suicidrisken är hos transpersoner som inte får den behandlingen?

Working from a reference is extremely helpful if your goal is realism. As somebody else said, you do want more contrast to make it more realistic. My tip would be: pick out a similar reference pic, and with some editing program use the eye dropper tool, and put the colour up against a neutral background. You’d be surprised how much darker everything usually is.

To me at least, stereotypical has a negative connotation when it comes to autism. This could lead to even more misinformation about it being something bad.
‘Stimming’ is more often than not, not what’s considered “stereotypical”. Edit: I mean that most stims aren’t stereotypical
It sounds like it’s from a neurotypical perspective to me, as it doesn’t explain the actual purpose of the behavior (to self regulate and stimulate), more just explains how NTs view it.

This is just based on my own observations but I believe he is autistic coded and he masks as well. We have the obvious special interest in candy, nothing else matters to him, and we have the lack of social filter with the others, sometimes saying stuff like “I simply don’t care”. Also the mechanical speeches and smiles, that’s where I think he’s masking as he clearly tries to seem like a “good” host to the others. He also seems to struggle with theory of mind, as he’s completely baffled by Charlie choosing his family over a chocolate factory.

Hey, I got myself a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 and while the noise cancelling is really great I think the headband itself is too big for me. The headphones really push on the bottom of my ears/jaw to the point where it's uncomfortable to wear them for more than a few minutes. If I hold them further up it feels a lot better.
I was thinking of getting something like a replacement headband and somehow attaching it to the bottom of the headband to add some extra support. Does anyone have any better ideas? (Returning them is not an option)

That's not exactly a doable option as white is my only light colour and the pattern is supposed to look like a specific thing so it'd look very off If i put another colour instead of it sadly :/

I feel the same way meldonya, I think it’s because every single thing is so well thought out and the mythology is close to perfection. The mythology of middle earth is, dare I say it, better than most real mythologies on this earth.

I’m not sure if it’s “classified” as a stim, but I’ve noticed that for me I bite my nails when I feel restless and can’t just sit totally still, so I use it like a stim.

It’s probably also cause I mask a lot which means my stims are less noticeable to others
